We are about to make like cow patties and hit the trail. Got the Mom and Dad sitting at the table...The cows are grazing and the fog is lifting.... ....Hmmm??? Not quite like putting the trash out but, I don't think MOm and Dad would appreciate getting set out to the curb at their own house... ....

Wooo Hooo! I'm the first to post after a GREAT time tonight!
As we knew would happen, the KS TX Contingency fit right in and our friends that were there loved them!!!!
- We were there until after they turned on the lights to get everybody out of the bar... Does anybody know the song about "the girls all get prettier at closing time"??? Not so in my case and Rich has the photographic evidence of that but he PROMISED.....
Richard, Frank, Dena, Janice, Eddie, Jackie and Kevin are all pumped up for a karaoke road trip to Dallas!!!!
Thanks to Chuck, Gigi, Sharon and Rich for making our Anniversary weekend so special!
Nite, nite,
Susie

The atmosphere at the Store Club is just like our favorite place used to be about 12 years ago. A perfect blend of people and great attitudes too. I wish we could have stayed.
I had a blast. I knew Megadeth would go over pretty well but I didn't know it would be so well loved.

The evening was perfect! The morning after was lousy (I am swearing off vodka-and-tonic) but it was well worth it! Richard and Susie are the most gracious hosts anyone could possibly have. The Store Club was wonderful: good clientele, good location GREAT karaoke equipment, selection and audience. The Full House retail location is incredible, too. We got out of there for less than $200, and for us, that is REALLY, REALLY good. Of course, we already have plans to go back up there to shop. Heh, heh.
All you Yankees, if you can't make it as far as Texas, you have GOT to visit Richard and Susie in OKC.
Sharon and I are already cussing and discussing plans for a Dallas area get-together. We will keep everyone posted.

I should mention that the people, the clients of the Store Club where very friendly. I never had to introduce mmyself to anyone. They understood that I was new to their place and treated me like a guest.

Yeah! We have loved the Store Club for a long time!!! We have great singers and great karaoke supporters!
Chuck,
I knew that one would go over!! That was so cool when O. L. (a.k.a. Omar, our own little jewel of the Nile) thought he was at a concert! I hope you don't have a bruise from me tapping on you... LOL
Gigi,
You guys are so much fun! Thanks for singing "Brand New Key"!! I know what you mean about this morning - I was a little "shaky" myself!! Of course I'm a little more accustomed to the pour there but I don't usually have quite that much!
Richard is already talking about when he wants to do a road trip and round up the RV karaoke club for a short trip - sans RVs.... :)
Did ya'll make it to the Memorial today or did you sleep in and slowly make your way back home?
Susie ---> The lady whose taxi fare exceeded her bar tab!

Yeah, we were thinking maybe cabs were cheaper in Oklahoma. Hopefully it was cheaper than a hotel room would have been.
We missed the Memorial. Sleep and food seemed like the better choices. But that just gives us another reason to come back up there--HA! like we need a reason besides you guys!
Ok, I dunno 'bout my wonderful Chuckie, but I am going to go try out some of my lovely new CDGs before dinner. He is playing with his operating system. Oooh that sounds dirty! :dancin: :dancin: :dancin:

- The cabs used to be cheaper, at least I thought so.... Yeah, it was cheaper than your room, by $20.... Heck, if I'd have known that I would have gotten a room where you guys were staying and just had you throw us in the trunk! Oh well, no biggie, it was worth it.
I wondered if you'd make the Memorial or not.... I wouldn't have - I'm glad you have another reason to visit too!!!!
I hope you enjoyed your new CDG's!!
I'm not going to touch the remark about Chuck though!! ROFLMAO
Susie

Withhold his ice cream until he posts them. I have to get the throw-away camera developed.

Matt! Missing the get together is no reason to quit your job!
Seriously, though, I hope you have something lined up you like better. Or can take the time to kick back and find a job you WANT instead of one you have to settle for.

in OUR field (I'm in IT too!), there's always a bit of settling...
I found a fairly good job. Trouble is, it's on the s h i t shift! ! Thurs-Mon third shift. Guess I can say goodbye to karaoke for the next nine months.
I needed a job with benefits, and a good, proven company. Though a contractor, there's the "chance" if they like me, I'll get converted to a reg. employee.
hey, it's better than I had. Contractor for a company (so no benefits, and me being diabetic... oy!) that's undergoing bankruptcy proceedings, and they're eliminating the "name" of what I do for a job for the perm. position. That means they'll be able to hire on newbies for about half of what I make!
No Thanks!
