This is not yet available, but it looks very promising.  It could eliminate the need for laptops and rack-mounted computers.  Those of you who are thinking of building a computer may want to wait for this.  I would venture to guess that this sytem would be quite expensive though.

Do you have a link?

Never mind I found it http://rsqaudio.com/products_new.html

If it weren't for the mp3 base, would look pretty interesting.  Wonder what the cost will be, that may be a determining factor if it's reasonable enough.  If it's going to cost as much as the system I outlaid, then i'll opt for the computer.  At least it's upgradeable.

Pro sing have this for sale at $1,500. It doesn't seem to support DVD though. I have been looking at the cavs machine but have hestitated because something better need to be available. I like the fact that it has a built in drive.  I wonder how easy it would be to switch from disc mode to hard drive mode.

The KJ at a CAV show I attend (Sundays), knows I am very interested in oneday purchasing a CAVS system.  He also knows of my reservations, the primary one being that CAVS uses a proprietary format.  In short, you can't just have a backup system without duplicating your expense, or if you want to burn a disk from the system is quite difficult.

Last Sunday while talking with that KJ once again about the CAVS, he suggested I go to their website (which I haven't yet) because they have just introduced greater flexibility regarding the format(s).  I think that's what he said

Maybe it's nothing with nothing, but those interested in CAVS who have had reservations about it might want to check it out again

Too bad this product is too expensive.  It has a lot of potential, but for $1500 I could buy 3 laptops.
