I have always used 2- 450's and a 1500 or 1501 along of course with the CFX12.  I have been thinking about getting a couple 1521's.  There are sometimes in a bigger venue or outdoors that I would like the xtra omph!.  Question is this.  In club use that I am doing now, would the 2- 1521's do as well or better than the 2-450's with the sub?

Honestly you probably won't notice a enormous amount of difference, although there will be some.  The SA1521 have a little more power & more SPL's (133db vs 106 on the 450's).  The SR1521 are pretty much the same amps as the 450, again with slightly higher SPL's (130db).
Which sub are you using now.  The 1521's would still benefit from the sub as well.  For the outdoor shows you may want to consider the 1530's or 1522 on top of the subs.

Thanks Lonman.  Using the 1501.  It has less amp but seems to out perform the 1500.

Ah, well then instead of changing your mains, you might want to consider a sub change (or 2).  For larger clubs & outdoor shows a larger sub may give you all the kick you need.  SWA1801 & SWA 2801 (dual 18" powered sub).  1 under each top.
