Okay, new idea. You hitchhike to Oregon (you could prolly hook up with a nice trucker headed this way & get here in 2-3 days) Then, you come get me, we'll get enough liquor to ease our travel worries, and thumb it back to Texas in time for the party. We'll rely on our smiles and the good graces of strangers to get us there.

Moore is on I-35 just North of Norman (OU) and SE of Oklahoma City.

The bar is in Oklahoma City which is a 20-30 minute drive from Moore.

Yes,  I would suggest a hotel near the club.  I am going to check them out tomorrow night when we do a show in the area.

A few years ago the Dr. Pepper/Chartbuster people stayed at one of them and I didn't hear any complaints.

Oh, as an aside...sometimes I call the blue car Miss B!tchy Outlandish (Mitsubishi Outlander) but I have not checked under the hood to determine sex yet.

Last time I was in Tulsa, my wife and I went out to karaoke....the majority of people there were dudes, and they all had dress cowboy hats, dressy cowboy shirts, and dark jeans...I guess they were dress cowboy pants.....there were tables attached to the walls, but there were no chairs for these tables, and very few chairs in the joint........here I am in regular jeans, and my Curly Howard t-shirt, and I felt that all the male eyes were on me. I told the wife, heck, I don't know any cowboy songs, and she replied, I think we better leave, so we left, went to Mcdonalds, and I ate hamburgers all night instead of singing....I've been to Tulsa a few times, and one time I went into a joint, and the guy had karaoke all set up. I asked him what time karaoke started, and he said there aint no karaoke, I just use the karaoke machine for my show.....he sang to everybody, but no one else got to sing(place was called Pickels or something like that)....in conclusion, my overall opinion of Tulsa, was that it sucked.........and I hope Moore is a more karaoke friendly town

Yep, it is... Ive never karaoke'd in Moore but that's where our store is...

I've only karaoke'd in Tulsa twice...  Both times it was fun but then I didn't get a bunch of dudes ogling me.... Rats!  :(

We will actually karaoke in Oklahoma City and it is karaoke friendly...  Only problem is sharing the "stage" with the speaker (no kidding) and it being small...  I like it that way.  To go to the bathroom you get to address any number of people as you maneuver your way around the bar; I've met the nicest people that way.  

Don't get me wrong, we have large places too but one of them moved the karaoke from the large area with a stage to the smaller area between the pool tables and the dart boards  LOL

I hope one of these days you and the wife can make it to our area and us to yours...

It's the one that got hit by the F5 tornado in '99. It's on the southern side of OKC and just north of Norman along IH35. I've been there many times.

I'd get on a plane before I'd hitchhike.... too scary to do that these days. I used to hitchhike alot as a teenager (you know, cutting school and stuff)... dunno what I was thinking. (oh yeah, I do, that I was *invincible*)

I'd love to come, you all would be a blast to karaoke party with. Someday.....

Actually, I MAY, if I take a certain job position, MAY be going to Chicago for training for 2 weeks, then off to Seatlle for a week...... then, in March, my whole fam-damily is going to the LA area for a week. So I'm GOING to plan on meeting people from here.  If only it was down south I was headed.  :(

Like Odie said, make sure you get more pics and videos. I'm gonna post some after this weekend, saturday is Odie's birthday and we're gonna go out...... and I plan to get him drunk off his arse and finally get him up to the mic. (but ssshhhhhh.... don't tell him that's my plan)  :wink:
