Karaoke Scene get together. This is has also been announced in the MySPace group page.
It will not be in Moore OK unless I got the city wrong, then it will be very close to Moore.

Updated: I updated the thread to read OK City.

Gotta check with the sis to see if she'll put up with us that long, but we're trying to be there

Hey at first I thought you were getting together in Kansas as KS is that states abbreviation and when you say (OK?) it appears that you are asking if this is ok - so maybe change the title.

That does sound like fun.  I probably won't be able to go this time, but maybe sometime.  I sure had fun visiting Matt (Knightshow) and Kevin (Showtimecalls, from another karaoke forum) in KS earlier this year.  I've been taking a few little mini-vacations like that this year and I need to do more of that.

Maybe during the Spring we can time one of these OKC or Wichita Kansas get togethers with storms. If we do it on a tornado outbreak day yall can have some entertainment during the road trip to / from.

I'm a nasty mixture of country and city.

I'd call the blue car by the make but it's a Mitsubishi. I'm too lazy for that many syllables. I'd call it an SUV but it's on the small side and has a 4 banger. The list goes on.


BTW- for a four banger it is fun to drive even with a load.

Okay, you win. I'd call mine a "blue car" before I'd EVER call it a "4 banger".  LMAO

(though... I had a Mazda 626 a few years ago... I felt like SUCH a little person driving it, but I loved that car)

Mine is the "Mommy-mobile".  So I call my husband's car the "Daddy-mobile" and his mom's car the "Grandma-mobile".  

My mom used to have a green car she named Kermit.  

It's funny sometimes how people come up with car names.  An Internet pal of mine, whom I just met a few months ago, named her new car Sting because when she was at the car dealer, there was a song by Sting playing over the PA system!

We actually do have a name for each car we own but we seldom use them.

The blue car is named Blue. The gold car is called Goldie and the purple car is named Violet.

Okay, so we have Chuck (Richard says thanks for the tip BTW!), Texas Gigi, Sharon, Rich, Dave, Ellen, Richard and myself so far....  Hopefully Danny, Matt, Ruthie and Kevin can be here as well...  If anybody else is nearby or going to be nearby - the more the merrier!!  (Although to be much merrier than this group will be quite an accomplishment!)  Locally we will probably have Frank, Dena, Nita, Monty, Troy, Bobbee, Tiffany, Charla and later Jennifer, David, Christy, Michelle and maybe Terry, etc....

The bar is actually in North Oklahoma City and last night as I drove to another show we have in the area I was trying to remember the highway signs so I don't have to say "Exit right after you go under the bridge with the thingy on it"  :)

This is also cool for Richard and I as our 24th anniversary is 11/27 and we have typically celebrated at the Store Club on the Saturday closest to it!!

The Saturday show is our longest running and is quite a small place so I'll ask the bartender to just squish all the tables together for us...  If any of you will be in town on Friday night you can come see us then too, the place we do on Friday is close to the Saturday show.....

I checked on hotels near the Store Club (NW 50th & Portland) and have the name of two of them - I haven't been in them though so I'm going to try to check them out tomorrow night when we have a show in the area.

Richard and I actually live in Moore and our store is in Moore but since we lived in NW Oklahoma City for so long, all our shows are there.  I'm guessing we'll need a taxi.....  LOL
