I am wondering if I can connect both of my br12 to one channel, and a subwoofer or something that will provide a bit more bass, to the other channel? Could someone explain advantage or disadvantage of doing this please? Thank you very much.

If you daisy chain both of your BR12s to one channel, then you are then splitting one side fo the amp to those speakers AND turning the speaker impedence to one 4 ohm load.
SO, you now have two 500 watt 4 ohm speakers, and your amp is producing 500 watts into that 4ohm load, so each speaker is rated for 500 watts/4ohm but you will only be feeding each of them 250 watts at 4ohm, so you are only giving each speaker HALF of its rated power and there is room for damage.
The smart thing to do with your mixing amp is to leave both speakers plugged up in the stereo channels and purchase a POWERED SUBWOOFER.
You can then connect this powered subwoofer through the MONITOR OUT in the front and control it independently with the monitor controls section of the mixer.

Well, the unit is for a home use setup, and a few parties at a friends house, so 1000 for a sub is kind of overkill. What if I bought a powered 15 inch 2 way or something similar, would this create enough bass? Like a Mackie, Peavey, or JBL?
Any advice in turning my current system into some more bass for 500 or so? Thank you very much.
