Hello again,
I have been reading about recording. I have a mixer plugged into my pc and all the music is played from there. I am wondering if I plug the rec out on the mixer into the pc can I record? What I mean is, if I fire up a song and audiacity, and start singing over the speakers and such, will this work, or will I get feedback?

If there is feedback, can someone recommend some way that I can record singing while operating the system normally. (externally, internally does not matter).

It will work, Just reduce the vol of the music if you are monitoring from you main speakers. The better way is to use a headphone and trun off the main speakers.

I used to post links to the tutorial sites and recomend the program to people new to recording, until I got fried.

best way to eliminate feedback is to have the line in volume fader in playback  muted. it should still record but will prevent the feedback.

The person who had the tutorial, I believe, something blue in the name? This person posted the tutorial on this forum, I think. Not sure.
