Like it or not, it's gonna be here before you know it. I'm sure some of you will be hosting Christmas parites. So what do you recommend as the gotta have selection.
Now keep in mind, that since this is a seasonal thing, I don't want to put a whole lot of money into it. But are there disc that have served you well for the occasion.

We did quite a few last year and yet to do one where they actually want christmas music... However there is alot of festive moods and sometimes time taken out for gift exchange etc... It is just a matter of having a variety and go with the flow providing what the person writing the check wants.. I had one that was going to be New Mexico spanish only.. We played about every genre there is before it was over.... It is good money and lots of fun..Better than regular gigs..

THe private Christmas parties i've done don't sing much Xmas music, however I do get alot sung in the club, but then I always put in a special Holiday listing in the front so people don't have to search the entire book.
SC8184 & 8185 are good ones to have.  Any of the standard Xmas songs work well.  A couple of the twisted holiday hits.  There are several others, but these I would start with.

I would just get a basic disc of the old standards than some fun songs like
" Who put the dick on the snowman and The Grinch".
