How about the numark dual player.....some people swear by it, some say it's unreliable.....$199 refurbished with a year warranty may have the initial bugs eradicated.....also gemini has a dual one out for $299 or less....can't find any revues on it.....laser alinement is always a main issue with any cdg machine, that and keeping it clean

Thanks Johnny/Knightshow/Allstar/twansenne/Lonman/planet_bill/Big dog...

I think I will download winamp on my pc and prep it for use. I'm sure I'll need some add ons later. I need to get the notebook involved right away because of the desire for MP3 use on mix it night. So, getting winamp installed is a logical step. Just performed a search of my home desktop and I have it...uninstalled though.
Will browse for numark players availability and reviews.

:D  Yeah Cards!   :dancin:

RSQ now has a dual player as well it may be an option.  It's pretty new still so there isn't a whole lot of feedback.

The T-2 K.  It has the digital key changer built in.  Cost around $300 give or take.  I would be willing to bet it's built by Numark or Gemini, maybe American Audio - or not???

And still no time countdown.  Don't manufacturers ever read the boards for what we want in a professional player?

Keep hearing the RSQ, Numark and Gemini names, guess these are the new leaders now that JVC is out of the game. That T-2 K looks like a good unit Lonman (nice website you got there, will use link for Custom CDG's). I hate to be the first to try a new unit though, will try to look for reviews/may be too new though.

Thanks everybody!

The lasers of CDG players are easy to get out of alinement, or dirty, so they get returned frequently, which makes it hard to make a profit manufacturing them. Takes a lot of precision to read music and graphics simultaniously......that's why computers are nice. Several months ago I argued with several people over the legality of copying cdgs in computer formats.....seems many that, at the time, said it was criminal.....are now using it.....lol

well, with the loss of the JVC and RSQ GOOD players, yeah, they're adapting because the manufacturers are ABANDONING their disc players, and instead are offering cheap, unusuable or unreliable players that break frequently. Not their fault, they're not DESIGNED for 5 hours a night, seven nights a week, 52 weeks a year usage!!
