OHH YOU ALL ARE JUST A BUNCHA PEACHES AREN'T YA?!?!

Thank you so much for all your well-wishes and thoughts and prayers.... right now I'm really quite ok... the worst part is hurting Tyson, cuz he's pretty devastated, but I know he's got lots of family and friends to help him through this, and I certainly have lots of support... Lots of my old friends seem to have come into my life lately and It was wierd that they all came out of nowhere at the same time.... I guess everything happens for a reason huh? They couldn't have come at a better time! I've recently met some new friends too who are fast becoming incredibly close. Also I've got the support of my brothers and sisters too.. If there was ever a time to make this decision it's right now.

Unfortunately my parents are on holidays right now so they don't even know yet.... they won't know for another couple of weeks.

I guess the other hard part is tryin to find a flippin place to live!! Sheesh rent here is RIDICULOUS!! A dinky 2 bedroom apartment here is over a thousand bucks a month when u factor in utilities, etc.... finding a new job, however is gonna be no problem at all... there's a huge employment boom going on right now... EVERYBODY is hiring.... and I mean EVERYBODY... they're all desperate too which means they'll pay well with benefits ;) yay me.

other than that, guys.... rest assured, I've never felt more confident in my life! I'm getting out there, meeting new people.... feeling independent... This is going to be so good for me, I can feel it!! I'm gonna come outta this on the other side and be better for it! I know there will be tough days, but I also know that it will soon be all behind me, I just gotta push through it! Thank goodness for friends and family and internet buddies like all of you!!

Matt and Keith, I'm shocked at your generosity!! I love you guys! thank you so much! as soon I get myself a fixed address, I will let you know. You guys have hearts of gold ya know that?!?

I may be online more often than I thought cuz I'm always at someone's house lately and everyone seems to have computers, so ya... I won't be far!!

OK!! gotta go!! Got lotsa stuff to do!!!

MOUAHH!!!! LOVE YOU ALL!!

-Crystal

just a bit of an update all...

Turns out.... my roommate-to-be has just backed out on me... AFTER i quit my job and AFTER I told Tyson I'd be out by the end of the month....

So, now I'm goin solo.... gonna try to find a dinky one-bedroom place for myself. I managed to get a list of places that are vacant right now for pretty affordable rent... gonna look into them... hopefully I'll have a place in a week or so... that would be nice. I am kinda liking the idea of not having to depend on a roommate.... cuz ya never know what they can do to ya. Plus the satisfaction of makin' it on my own is pretty appealing... I hope I'm not being too naive.

It's not all as bad as it seems, though... I'm not stranded.... a good friend of mine has offered to have me stay with him, but there's one problem.... he's a "him" haha!! That would NOT go over well with my parents   but if that's what it comes down to, they'll have to get over it, i guess....

anyways.... keep sendin' happy thoughts my way as I fly solo..... well.... first..... I gotta get off the ground ;)

Crystal, I'm unsure about Canada... but most cities have rental rooms, or a motel you can rent by the week. While not totally affordable for a long term thing, it can work temporarily. However, be careful of the area of town they may be in!

Didn't see where you mentioned about quitting your job!!

yeah I live in a dinky town outside of the city..... I don't want to live in this town, I need to move back to the city to be close to my family........ plus... I don't drive, so being in the city is far more conveinient. So... because I'm goin to the city, I need to find another job, so I gave my boss a month's notice.... I'm there till the end of this month.

Finding a job here right now is like finding a bean in a pot of chilli. They're EVERYWHERE! Huge job boom, but there's a housing shortage.... so I'm gonna find a home first... like.... RIGHT away then I'll hand out applications.. people are giving interveiws and hiring on the spot right now, cuz of the boom. That's the least of my worries.

Remember the song, "Broken Wing"?

I have an ex girlfriend who recently graduated college and just won a 62K/year job!...She is now buying her own house!

She did exactly what you are doing and probably for the same reasons....I met her while she was on the rebound and shoved her uphill with both hands......She is one of the very few gals I know who managed to really do it!

I am so proud of her.

You Go, Girl!

Go East Crystal where rents are reasonable (2 br $450 - 650+) and the karaoke rocks.  Plus I'm here, LOL.

'nother update:

well.... I told my folks a week ago.... they cried. It was tough, but at least it's done. I'm relieved now and they're supporting me. In fact, they're letting me stay with them untill I can find a place of my own.... which is a HUGE load off my shoulders cuz I was about ready to move into a cardboard box. My sister has been my best support lately. She calls me outta the blue just to make me laugh!

I talked to Steve on the phone the other day! LOL! I bought a cowboy hat and boots.... I couldn't remember what brand it is, but I told him "It starts with a ZED" he goes.. "Starts with a WHAT?!?!" LMFAO!!! That's canuck speak fer "Z" LOL!

anyways, things are going well... I just can't wait for this month to be over so I can settle into a routine. Everything should be normal by Christmas!

Thanks so much to the ones who'v offered support via e-mail, phone, etc! I love you all!!

heheheh on "Z"

I'm happy this is moving ahead for you gurl, despite the pain involved. But to be honest, if you didn't feel pain, then what you had with hubby wasn't real.

Time heals most things, or at least puts it into a dull roar.

We're here for ya sweetie! I'll call later!

It's tough telling the parents. At least they are supporting your decission.
My parents were old school and thought a woman should stay with her man
no matter what. Basically because I don't think they thought a woman with 2 small children could make it on her own. Boy did I prove them wrong!!! I never regretted my decission and have done very well for myself. Be strong and make your own life.
You'll be happier in the end.  :dancin:

  Crystal, I hope everything works out for the best for you.  My hubby and I were separated for 4 years, and even though we got back together, the separation was rough on me emotionally.  Remember, if you need a shoulder to cry on, we, your friends on the forum, are here.

Crystal,

I haven't been on here all that much lately...and when I read this I was really shocked and felt sad that you were going through this....but in reading thru the thread I see that you are handling things well.  You are right, things do happen for a reason, sometimes things aren't as clear at first and you wonder WHY they are happening...but it does finally all fall into place.

2005 was a very rough year for me and Paul.  We separated for a while...a few people here know exactly what happened.  I will not get into it...but my point is that I realized that no matter what our problems, in the end I love him more than any man I will ever meet and our problems were not insurmountable.  Where there is love, there is hope.

I hope you are taking the right direction for your well being...your heart will always tell you, even if your mind is a little foggy sometimes.

Thank you Luly!! You're a doll! That statement you made is what I've been living by these past few weeks..... I intend to follow my heart for the rest of my life. Glad things are better with you and Paul! mouah!

 hello sweety hope you are looking after you. That does sound stupid I know but what I mean is dont rely on others to do it. Get to a place inside where you can look in the mirror and say honestly...I may not like it but if this is what life has in store for me I can handle it...as soon as you are your own person there will be enough room for someone else should you choose.

hugs from the witch

my goodness, Morgan..... you know just what to say!

I have been searching deep inside myself these last few weeks and doing just that. Taking care of me.... it's been a long time.... It IS tough, but I can't wait untill the day I can truly tell myself that I'm happy and I'm "my own person" as you said! Thank you again, Morgan... I will take that to heart

y'know I've seen so many people on here go through hard times, and i've seen the support you all give them.... it's just mind boggling when it's ME who needs the support... it's as though you all know exactly what's goin on inside me!! I keep sayin' thank you, but it doesn't quite seem like enough!
