Question:  How did "politically correct" ever come to mean 'factually incorrect'?

I think if I respect an individual, political correctness is unnecessary. People make mistakes too in showing respect for each other. PC doesn't allow for mistakes but healthy respect does. PC also doesn't allow for the help a person might need in a timely manner, respect takes care of that too.

Mencia seems to respect people as humans but has fun with the stereo types. I fit into a few stereo types and enjoy laughing at these.

I don't know Chuck.  I've watched Mencia a few times.  Sometimes he's clever and funny but often times it's like "I just said something I'm not supposed to say...na,na,na,na,na....what are ya going to do about it, it's the truth isn't it?!" A little of that goes a long way IMO.

True but a lot of comedians act stupid as a way of role playing in order to get their idea accross. I might not like Mencia after watching him.

I didn't like Howard Stern but I listened to him just to learn some tolerance. After a little time it became "irritainment". I knew I was too uptight and stuck deep in PC mode and needed to learn how to put up with personalities that got on my nerves but I became addicted. Much of what Stern did really went against my beliefs at the time. I'm sure a lot still would but I learned a lot about human nature by doing it.
