You are right.   It does add to increased sales of their music.   I have already bought a cd to practice a song I wanted to sing.    I wanted to be sure how it actually went.    I am sure there are many other singers that do the same thing.   Whatever leads to more sales should be their bottom line.    Karaoke is part of the process.    Just as much as a Jukebox, DJ or a copycat band.
