And blending into the "Gong Show", does anyone remember "Gene-Gene, The Dancing Machine"? It was this guy that came out doing something resembling a locomotion dance while they played "Jumpin' at the Woodside" by Count Basie. Things would be thrown at him, starting with small objects, then eggs and assorted fruits culminating in boulders been slung at him...I always like the progressive build-up of the projectiles. He seemed to deflect them quite nicely somehow.

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? He would chuck, he would, as much as he could, and chuck as much wood as a woodchuck would if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

This is a sensitive subject. I should tread lightly here.

I don't recomend that. Those treads look great and seem quite durable but they are also inconsistant and can quit on you when you need them the most.

Things were pretty nice last night. It has calmed down since the bad night where everyone was fighting over me staying later. If the crowd is there the owner has been paying me to stay. I may start doing the $5 a song after quitting time if the owner isn't paying me to stay. I haven't decided yet.

To tell you the truth I get burned out. I do 17 - 20 hours a week of all karaoke.
I do still have nights where I have a blast, but mostly it's a job. I like to buy new toys here and there to keep me interested. I'm working on buying a cd recorder
right now. The bad thing is it costs about $700 for the one I want. I almost snagged a used one on ebay yesterday for $400, but some guy out bid me by $10 at the last minute. I even used auction stealer, but he must of used it too. I'll be getting a compressor also in the future. I guess I'm in no hurry to get it because I've survived a long time without it already with no problems. The cd recorder is more for the patrons than me. The compressor is more for me. I don't think the patrons will even know the difference.

Well thanks Dave.
<whispering> hey, BTW, I don't really rock. I took over Babs account long enough to start this rumor about me. I don't think anyone's buyin' it.

Me too Bigdog.
They started off with a simple menu and a good burger. Then they put a seasoning mix on the burgers and fries that was made up of salt, garlic, black pepper, and paprica. Since they butchered the meat the day they served it it was always fresh. It was a simple plan and they grew to 400 in the first two years.
They were also fun to work for.
I think the thrill of eating there wore off because a lot of them closed after the first ten years.
