It looks like the Dog has a second identity.  Real hosts do not take breaks.  If they need to use the facilities or get a drink or something, they go when a song begins and after making proper adjustments for the singer.

Once again no proof offered.  Who wants his area.  But in his paranoia I guess he thinks all the hosts here will drop what they are doing, leave family, friends, jobs, etc, just to get one of his gigs.

Jesse most hosts like to visit other hosts when they are on vacation.  Nothing nefarious (that means evil) about it.

Don't know what the harm is in letting us know where you play!  I have hosts come to my show all the time.  Like Tim said, many of us do travel & like to visit those we chat with online.

Jesse - You have been a member since May 2005 and only made 24 posts in that time. Why would you decide to comment on such a heated discussion?

Jesse, I think your sense of humor is just fine. Some types of humor are specific to the person and can be enjoyed like a treat by the rest of us.

I am only speaking for myself but please keep posting. :D

You are just as believable as the fluffball himself.  No real location or even a way to contact you, so your testimony holds no water here.

Quote:
In three hours only once was there no karaoke because the poor guy finally had to take a break to use the restroom and his break only lasted about 10 minutes.
Then it was back to nothing but karaoke until the place closed somehwere around 3am i think it was.

True hosts do not need to take a break, they can do their needs during a playing song, so you are basically weakening his case, however since your testimony holds no water, we can throw this out as well.

Quote:
Knowing the area...I too will not say where it is because i understand why Big Dog is keeping it a secret  LOL

And which area might that be?  Oh, the USA, well at least that narrows down that it live in the US.

Quote:
The place im talking about is a tourist area which stays packed almost all year round and yes his shows are awsome!!

Several shows are located in tourist areas, so how do you know it was his?  You just said he don't know you, he hasn't shown anyone a hint of where he plays so.....

Quote:
My wife and i even went to his store and bought a few things  :D

Yeah, if he had a store, you would again think he would want to advertise it as much as he could to generate more sales.  I have yet to see a legitimate business yet that says, Oh we have enough business, I can't possibly sell anymore.  This is the first anyone has heard about a store from the fluffball.

Quote:
Big Dog had made some real valid points.....Meaning My wife and I and our kids and our friends stopped going to the karaoke shows where we live because of the very things that Big Dog has talked about!!

What has he talked about??  Other shows that don't do things his way?

Quote:
We would rather drive 2hours to go to his shows than to drive 10 minutes from our house to go to a show that is full of the crap that Big Dog has mentioned.

Again, he has only mentioned stuff that doesn't work at his shows or is too closed minded to try.

Quote:
Sorry Big Dog....I know you dont know me, But i think your CooL!! and your shows are hard to beat!!!.... only the best out there can compare to you buddy  :hi5:

And here is the clincher to all of your statements..."SORRY BIG DOG....I KNOW YOU DON'T KNOW ME!!!!!"  Because you don't know him nor have you been to his shows.

Quote:
Sorry folks im just being honest  LMAO

Funny you should laugh after telling stuff that once again CAN'T BE PROVEN!!!!!

Quote:
And if i were Big Dog i wouldnt tell any other kj's about this area either....Id keep all that money to myself too  :D

Like Timberlea said, like we are all going to uproot our businesses, families to relocate to some fictitional location that has been confirmed by someone else just as fictiotional!

So Big Dog definitely IS a guy!  Then why is there a "female" symbol under Big Dog's avatar?

Wishful thinking on his part!

Who What Where When ---It doesn't really matter ...

Let See:

We (KJ's) all agree that we would love to host at a venue that is 100% Karaoke
and maybe MOST nights they are.  Sometimes you do get a crowd that is a little more diverse and they want to listen to or dance to something OTHER than Karaoke Songs.  Most agree it is acceptable to appease customers other than karaoke singers without fear of alienating the singers as long as the NON karaoke music is not excessive.

Most all agree that the bar scene (at least on the WEEKENDS) is evolving to include a more  variety type atmosphere. SURE all areas have "THE" karaoke bar in which NOTHING BUT KARAOKE IS ACCEPTED.  These are Great and if you are a Good Enough KJ I guess you get that GIG.

We (KJ's) are there to provide a service  to the patrons of the bar - There are no membership cards that distinguish between SINGERS and those who don't ! .
It is not about making karaoke extinct ! It is more about serviving as a KJ ..forget KJ / DJ  / VJ --I want to be a Mobile Entertainer - Karaoke Specialist  !!!

Let's keep the dialog going and Ideas flowing on the Future Karaoke Industry and stop listening to the real Dinosaurs who refuse change or open minded thinking

HERE'S TO THE FUTURE !!!!

Probably because it's one in the same!  Look at Jesses old posts, they reek with the same attitude, down to punctuation & smileys in some cases.  I'll quote a couple as many of them have misteriously been edited!  Another thing that leads to believe, is that Jesse quit posting regularly about the same BD joined...until now & he happens to be defending BD in BD own thread that everyone basically says he has none or can't/won't offer proof...then all of a sudden, BAM, someone claims they have proof, but says that BD don't know them.

Jesse @ Wed Jan 11, 2006 3:27 pm wrote:
The contest that i have observed went like this:

20 people enter the contest.
10 of these cant carry a tune in a bucket.
Out of the last 10 people, 8 need serious vocal training as they cannot seem to stay in key with the song they sing, and the 2 left are actually Good.

The People chosen by judges for the finals:

The 2 Good singers... 1 female and 1 male.
2 singers of the 8 that need serious vocal training.
4 of the other 10 which are the worst singers of the entire group.

Then they go to the finals and the its basically a battle between the 2 Good singers as the others are eliminated due to obvious reasons.

Between the 2 Good singers...1 female and 1 male....The female is chosen winner because she wears a more eye catching costume and puts on a bit more of a show as she has more dance moves than the guy who is just as vocally talented but doesnt dance enough while singing and has a less flashy costume(clothing).

Then after the female wins, she thinks she is good enough to go pro. when the doors are closed in her face due to the fact that she simply does not have the right looks...even though vocally she is really good, then she starts getting a reality check and finds that she is not going to get anywhere in the music biz.

She then gets down about this and eventually stops doing something that she once loved...Singing....Singing because its fun and something she enjoys.

Also...all those who didnt get picked for the finals who were better than some that did get chosen...these also eventually loose interest as they see how things are done in these contest...meaning that some of the worst singers are chosen just so that the obvious Good singers will have less competition....

Then there's all the rest, who eventually see how this all works and they loose interest.

In the end....these people stop going to karaoke bars due to loosing interest in singing just because of these contest and how they are run.

Who looses in the long run?  The clubs and the Kj's do because now the customers are not coming in spending money to drink and have fun singing karaoke.

As far as a online contest...If people want to participate just for fun to see how they stand up against every one else who joins in....then go for it and have fun i say.

But to take these contest serious...., In my opinion thats silly

But then this is only my opinion and observations, to me karaoke is for fun. If a person is serious about trying to go pro with there singing...Then put together a band and get your stuff together....meaning your own songs and music and then head on out and do some gigs touring around and selling your CD's. When you can show a record label that you have made $40,000 to $80,000 bucks selling your own CD's during concerts...Then maybe they will take interest

Thats my 2 cents

Not sure why he & Charmin edited every post in this thread.

Welcome to the site None.  A little humor is probably what we need right now.
Just don't tell us you know BD or we'll have to spank you.  LMAO
