Hey everyone.. I apologize first of all for not being around much.  I've been really busy with some new things going on in my life and this big contest that I'm involved with.  I really hope you don't mind me coming here to ask for your help.  I consider a lot of you friends and have enjoyed the music and fun we have shared together on here!!

I was hoping I could count on a lot of you guys to help me out with something... I'm in a singing contest that has a grand prize of $50,000 and the winner is determined by viewers votes.  I have made the finals of the competition along with 9 other people and it runs until October 14th.  I have NO chance in hades of winning this unless I can get the word out and get tons of votes.  I don't really have much family or know all that many people except for my online friends.  I'm up against some huge competition as far as vote getting goes, so I will need all the help I can get!

What I need from you guys who are willing to help me out, is for you to go to the website which I will post here. (Phil.. let me know if that is out of line and I will post it to my signature instead).  You just sign up for a free account and give me a thumbs up to vote.  That's it.. very simple!  The only rule they have is that you can only vote twice per computer (so no more than two registered accounts can vote per computer).

And on top of that, if you are willing and able, I REALLY need this info to not stop with you guys.  The only way to get enough votes, is going to be through networking, so if you could tell everyone you know.. your family, friends, coworkers, teachers, students, neighbors.. whomever that has a computer and can vote.  I would be so grateful for that and appreciative!!  

If you guys have ever liked anything i've sung or maybe advice i've given or whatever, this would be the ultimate way to show me, and I would be so happy to have this community's support!!  Thank you to those of you who are able, and my apologies if I am being out of line at all here for asking for this.  It's just that this is a huge opportunity for me, and I need all the help I can get.  I always hate asking for help like this and usually avoid it at all costs, but with stakes like this, I really would be foolish not to try and let as many people know as I can..

Thank you so much you guys! I really appreciate your support. I was a bit apprehensive about "advertising" myself like this, and I apologize for doing that, but I realized that it's the only chance i've got, and this prize is just too big for me to not try and do all I can to get help.  I really can't express to you how much it means to me for every bit of help you can give and especially if you can pass on this info to other people..  I can't believe how nervous this whole thing is making me.. I need to really calm down and not stress out  It's hard for me not to though because I just want this so bad, but I know I need to keep things in perspective.  Thank you again, and I will indeed take your advice and put a song up to try to catch more people's attention in the showcase area.  *hug*

(Oh and Topher, I just saw what you wrote.. I really don't think he is because I don't see how he could get away with that since we have to use their player to record ourselves live. (I don't know the technical possibilities of being able to cheat the system like that). He seems to be a really nice guy with a nice voice. I do know that he has a professional studio condenser mic and that may be what makes it sound more like a recording..)

Thank you so much Sharon and Laura!  I appreciate any help I can get! I think i'm making myself sick over this whole thing.  I never knew how being in a contest with such a huge prize would affect me.  I can't sleep, can't think, and am all anxious all the time.  It's ridiculous  

Oh and Babs, the last thing we were told about the voting, is that there can be no more than two accounts per computer, so that if there are two people in the household that's the most that can vote.  

My votes seem to be really slowing down while other's are really picking up pace so I'm getting paranoid  If and only if you do like what you hear, I encourage you to please check it out, and pass it along to your friends and family.  Publicity is my last chance to be seen and have a shot at this, as I've pretty much exausted all my resources...

Just go to Circuit City and Best Buy, and City Library, log onto every computer and vote for Jazzy! Am I brilliant or what? Don't answer that...

by far the best singer. It couldn't hurt to try to get others interested.
