A Few Friends and I Had The Pleasure of Visiting A Fellow Posters Karaoke Venue, LIQUIDDYE. He Uses TURBOSOUND 12 INCH Speakers, Powered By CROWN AMPS On Top of A MACKIE POWERED SUBWOOFER And Mixed With A YAMAHA-MG SERIES Mixer. The Sound Emanating From The TURBOSOUNDS Was Incredible,Clear,Precise,Very Well Defined.I Could Only Imagine What The 15 Inch Turbos Sound Like. If You're In The Market For Speakers CHECK THESE OUT! VERY IMPRESSIVE

That combo is actually an ideal set-up.  If you are using subs, there is no need for 15" tops - however using 15" with subs is pretty common. 12" drivers in PA set-ups are generally considered midrange speakers so with the added sub it makes a nice rounded out sound.

Tommie thank you for the kind words. I plan to keep this setup for karaoke for a while. I am planning on replacing my mackie subs, as I had mentioned. The problem is that the resale is not very high so I will continue to use them to get my money out of them.

The 15"s are just as clean as the 12" but can be used with or without a sub.
My van needs a tranny, I'm trying to decide to buy a new one now or wait until spring before wedding season. The 15"s don't fit in my car, and I don't like not using a sub. If something changes I'll let you know in advance, I'll bring out the 15's one night so you can hear them.
