Don't be offended, it's just a question.

I've tried watching it and don't care for most of it because it's more surreal than real to me. I can respect people meeting a challenge but too often the premise or challenge is just something I really can't relate to. There may be better shows on these days that fit into that category. I gave up watching not because I'm a snob just for lack of interest.

I've gotten so that I prefer History Channel and usually anything before the 20th century.

Yep...........You found Real TV when you found Discovery/History and daytime A&E....The rest is as you described it....Especially Ted Turners CNN with Nancy Grace and Beck.

Don't fret, you don't have to make apologies. You simply fell prey to another case of someone intentionally mislabeling yet another something in hopes you would be fooled....you weren't fooled afterall.

You know, as a sad as it is, I would have to call Jerry Springer true Reality TV

I actually liked wrastlin' better than most of the reality TV I tried watching. It's like mellow-drama for steroid users. j/k

Don't write off the Fear Factor type shows completely.....They often show really cute gals in skimpy bikinis...I especially like the water scenes where things get clingy and transparent....I just turn off the sound and soak it in visually. LMAO

That's one of the redeeming qualities of fear factor. I also respect the fact that people get a chance to do battle against their fears. I just can't watch it.

Yep,

Myself, I'm into true crime.....not so much the routine Cops stuff, but the more intriguing shows like A&E's City Confidental where they slowly build the story and lay out the history of the the crime scene city and all the under currents associated with the people/politics involved...I love it!

I used to subscribe to the True Crime book club where I would save 6 months worth of true crime books to take with me to sea on the submarines....I studied mostly serial killers and how they managed to justify their actions and how they also managed to remain invisible for so long.......I am fasinated by the human mind and how very crafty people can be, and how very evil also....I love to learn how they justify their actions in their mind.

No, I am not a closet serial killer seeking methods to avoid detection...I am simply a person fasinated by the fact that there are everyday looking folks out there presently killing people and getting away with it solely for the thrill/need of killing.....I seek only to understand what makes them tick and how they justify what they do and how they manage to fool all the world for so long.

I love to study truth that is stranger than fiction....I appreciate good fiction, but give me true crime anyday....The fiction of Steven King scares me, whereas the reality of Ted Bundy petrifies me.

Most reality tv is scripted or highly edited, sense true reality does bad tv.

I can relate to it.   I'm eating discussing bugs, sheep testicales and stuff all the time.     I get dropped off on deserted islands, crash cars, jump from helecopters.   You guys don't do any of that stuff?     How boring.   No wonder everyone KJs. LMAO
