I like that. How many devices can one use through just one USB port?

USB standards are up to 127 devices...

On the back or front of a typical computer, they have either 2 or 4 built in usb ports. I keep one for all external data (such as the lights, and another for all incoming data.

SOME usb devices are both way paths, and you need to be careful on that... I hook up four port hubs to my TWO ports. but I try never to have a device that is receiving data and another that is sending data out on the same port.

Also remember that there are powered hubs and non-powered hubs.

i've had good luck with some non-powered hubs, but some default to usb 1.1 despite what they say being 2.0!

I saw them, but much prefer to have a regular enclosure.

Sorry to be geeky but fundamental physics say why that device won't work yet the coffee warmer will work. It's all about the heat rising. Cool liquid will settle to the bottom where the plate is and already cool. That's why it won't keep it cool. However, coffee warmer, hot liquid will rise and cool liquid will go down, where there is the plate which is hot. It will continue to warm.

Some engineer thought of this without thinking of basic thermodynamics.

Look at Eben being all edjumacated and stuff. :hi5:  Your ma must of teached you good.
Now if I had any teeth i'd kiss Ya.  LMAO

Now about my house for my pet rock?

The USB Standard (1) requires a USB socket to supply 500mA and for a device to draw no more than 500mA; (A powered hub is required for mutliple devices who's total draws more than 500mA.) USB Standard is 5v.(1) Assuming that each glove is powered by its own USB socket, that is 0.5A x 5v = 2.5 Watts/glove. 2.5 Watts x 3.41 = 8.525 Btu/h (2) (A Btu is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one pound (avoirdupois) of water by one degree Fahrenheit) My hand displaces about 500ml of water (just short of 2 cups, and yes I measured it), and as the body is 72% water, that is about (500 ml x 0.72) 360 ml of water per hand. (I obviously didnt want to get into the thermodynamics of bones / skin, or the body regulating temperature of the hand,... bare with me..) 1lb water = 453.59ml (5) so my hand is about 0.79lbs of water. So if it takes 1 Btu 1 hour to raise the temp of 1lb of water 1 Deg F, then it will take 8.525Btu/h only .117 hrs (7 mins) for one lb of water, or 0.092hrs (5.5 mins) to heat the 0.79 of water in my hand 1 Deg F. The minimum discernable temperature increase the hand can sense is 2.5 Deg F(6), so its going to take about 15 mins for the gloves to actually heat your hand and for that to feel warmer. While your hands aren't a jar of water, and your body is likely to regulate blood flow to the warmer area if your cold, plus there are a few leaps in the assumptions above, ultimately, I'd say wearing the woolen gloves does more than what the USB heating element provides.... so: If your hands are cold, wear gloves.

LMAO

JD, you take all the fun out of gadgets!.......You don't understand, I WANT THEM!Never try to explain the logic of something to someone who WANTS IT! LMAO

I never could understand why any woman needs more than one dress or one pair of shoes.....But try to explain that to them. :(

Well........OK.

I see your point.

But when it comes to women in jeans, there is always that ONE pair that fit just right and makes you a little crazy to see her in them, you know? :yum:  :worship: .........But it seems they only wear them once a month because they have too many different pairs. :(
