G'morning Mike.

And, I must say, I don't miss the Texas winters at all. Atleast, not the ones from when I lived in the bay area. Spent christmas day in shorts getting bit by mosquitos, had to run both ari conditioners full bore cause the heat from christmas dinner cooking was unbearable. (learned our lesson from Thanksgiving day though, we had the turkey deep fried for us elsewhere, haha)  LMAO

Now, the winters in New Braunfels, were alot like here. We had ice storms and all that good stuff. Then again, IMO, New Braunfels is the best place in Texas anyhow.  :D  I do miss it there, spent alot of days at Canyon Lake, and swimming in the Blue Hole at Wimberly, and rafting down the Comal river.

I love when someone else makes gravy, even if there are lumps. Pan drippen's though, that's the best kind. :D

My mom, is the BEST cook for southern food. Her steak is awesome, and I don't even LIKE steak... at all. But her baking soda biscuits and milk gravy leave ya drooling. I don't think we ever outgrow wanting our mom's cooking. Even my HUSBAND loves to go eat and my mom's. He always wants her fried potatoes, which I've never copied just right. (mine always end up too crunchy... or something)

She doesn't cook fancy, just good wholesome food, meat and potatoes kinda stuff... and everything is always home made, never out of a jar. (geesh... now I'm tempted to call mom and invite myself up for dinner, lolll)

Not quite Chuck.  I don't think that's what the six year old step-daughters had in mind when they named him!  LOL

Man if I had kids they would refuse to go out in public with me. I am too embarrassing to be around.
