Hi All,
Just a few lines to introduce myself. I am Pam, from Chicago. I actually was told about the Showcase by a friend who submitted tracks about six months ago. I used to come and listen to people sing but, I wasn't savvy enough to even leave a comment. I was re-introduced recently by yet another dear friend. He talked me into submitting a few tracks and my welcome was so warm and wondeful. What a great place to share one's music.
I have never sung in public. I do all my recording, mixing and mastering on a well known and much used recording program. Probably the same one you all use. I have learned so much experimenting and asking for help from ones more experienced than myself when I needed it. Still learning more all the time. I have come a long long way since my days of echo, heavy reverb and hi eqing. So if anyone would like any tips that I may share, please feel free to scream. Always happy to help.
Most of the songs I sing have in some way touched my heart or in some cases a friend asked me to sing it for them. I don't know all of the songs I sing. I do always try to add a lil bit of me to each one. Some work, others don't
! I do try though. Sometimes to the extent of going down with the ship. I am such a stubborn woman sometimes.
Because of my singing, my family would like to put me up for adoption but, they can't, I am the Mom and the cook. Life is sweet!! So, if there is anyplace out there with an open cot and a microphone, I am available. Let's talk.
I guess I should wrap this up with saying, thank you all so much for the warm welcome. All the comments I have gotten have been so wonderful and positive. I hope my head doesn't swell too much, because my family will suffer even more, poor dears. Not that they are not deserving, mind you. LOL! I love this place, and I shall be coming for a million years. Hope you can still stand me when I am that old.
!
XX, Pam
