Drink it three times aday. Apple cider is know to kill almost anything it comes in contact with.
I used this on strep throats too...{i have three kids} cleared it up in no time
Hope you feel better soon sweets.
We had this home remedy for my son. He threw up three times after drinking it. He couldn't stand it. You may want to dilute it more than this (if necessary)

I ended up with a cold this winter cos I had relied on this so much that the body had built up a resistance. So be careful to take only when required and hit it hard with 3 times the dose recommended and it will sort you out
oh yeah it was a health proffessional who told me to use it this way. Its not a witches brew Sure....
You expect us to believe that?

Two more things to add. Very important!!!
H2O, H2O, H2O!!!!! Girl you need to drink so much water your feet think you're swimming. Add to that as much Vitamin C as you can (Emergen-C is great stuff). And then ... and plenty of it!
BTW I'm a smoker too but there is NO way to 'cure' a virus so, if that is what you have, the above things are the quickest way to feeling better. Which I hope you do soon

I had to all but force my son to drink it, thinking it was in his best interest, but he is very set on never drinking or eating anything he doesn't like. The only reason I think this had a true problem and not just him throwing up because he didn't want it is that he threw up 3 times. I don't think that would happen just because of a distaste. I tried it myself just to show him that it wasn't a big deal. I had someone at work say it would help all of us in general health to do so at regular intervals.

Quote: I take echinachea & golden seal drops.
This WORKS ! Really does. But we are talking about taking around 2.4 G Daily !
For some reason NOTHING knocks out flu and cold like Echinacea, Golden Seal was always "iffy" according to many into homeopathy regarding colds and bugs.... Why this stuff even works on viruses I haven't a clue. Since my work is in the medical area, I'm around pharmacologists and pharmacists quite often. Since most are grounded in traditional medicine, naturally they "poo hoo" anything naturopathic, or homeopathic, even most herbs since they aren't FDA regulated... They will claim the Echinacea, and even Vitamin C (due it it's low Ph being an acid) is working as an antihistamine. But everyone I know that takes high dosages of echinacea swears by this stuff for high quantity SHORT term use to knock out "bugs"... If it's just a cold, dose yourself with OJ, Cranberry Juice, Vitamin C... and lower your bodies Ph... Colds thrive on alkalinity to survive in an animal, they can't survive in a very low Ph, or environment that's high acidity.. Fastest way to knock a cold out.... lower your Ph, sing two songs, and call bigdog in the morning !

I'd get into friendly florals like Assadoofousness, (found in yogurt culturals) and other probiaddicts, but that's another lesson of Kappy's naturopathic healing thru pyramidology, Higher carat golds, and crystals, and ear coning...
Try not to lose any sleep holding onto your seats, colon hydrotherapy and it's proven affects on quantitative congnitive abstract mathematical skills is next......

Zicam, Zicam, Zicam!! Its best if used as soon as you start feeling the symptoms. I've actually averted colds with this stuff. Even if you have a cold it can reduce the length of time you are sick. Don't ask me how, but since I've used it, I've only had one true cold in more than 3 years. I just find it in the cold remedy section of any store. Hope you feel better!!

I agree Echinacea - I don't think Goldenseal ever did much for me. This works for colds but not a bacterial infection. Also large doses of vit C like 5,000 to 6,000mg / day. Chicken stock based soup with spices, and chicken and dumplings. Personally I think the herb cilantro helps too. Drink tons of water, rest. Also take Airborne, and Cold Ease lozenges. Might try some hot tea with a bit of lemon and maybe honey for your throat. I like and prefer Earl Grey.
Antibiotic will knock out bacterial infections quick, but you don't want to have to rely on these unless you have too. Antibiotics destroy all your good beneficial bacteria in your digestive tract and some very large percentage of your immune system is based on this - like 60%. You kill off your good bacteria and it will take like 3 months to rebuild them. Not having them over time opens you up to bad stuff like colon cancer. I started taking fiber, and digestive enzymes, and some acidopholus and it's really helped my system. Seems digestion is better leading to more energy, much fewer colds and infections, and even my allergies seem to be getting a lot better. Here's some more info on that aspect. This website run by a friend of mine: http://www.gutfeelingcolumn.com/.

I like to drink a cold out. Do shots of Jack until you start to sweat, keep yourself under the covers and you will sweat it out.
In all honesty the best thing for a cold is sleep and relaxation. If you have kids send them to their grandparents, get some sleep. Take whatever medicine you know works best for you and drink Gatorade it will keep you hydrated.

Sorry liquiddye, I'm only laughing because there's some truth to this, when I was "active" I NEVER got a cold... Southern Comfort, Brandy, Bicardi 151, Chartreuse, Rye, Scotch, and the traditional two six-packs of Schlitz Malt Liquer (The Bull) knocked out everything that could survive, including many braincells too of course. Liquids DO knock out colds, and I NEVER had one when I was a lush..
(at least that I can remember, I might've had one during those weeks that somehow disappeared from my life, or was it months ??) Anyway....
The problem with sweating it out, (meaning assuming you have a cold) you go to the gym and play basketball, or anything that works up a sweat and speeds up the metabolism is that WHEN I did those things, THOSE were the colds that ended up (within hours) following the touch football games, basketball games, tennis games as Bronchial pneumonia, double ear abscesses, strep, etc.. For some reason when I exerted myself when feverish with any infection, it really dumped a whammy on any part of my body that was vulnerable. In my case, lungs and ears, eustacean tubes, and I'm prone to strep.... While heat and sweating might be OK... I would NOT do anything that is physically strenuous while incubating bacteria... That never worked... Landed me VERY ill in fact always for some reason.

Hmmmmmmmm, I don't think that whiskey routine does much really (maybe it does but I don't drink anymore--now that I think about it, I don't think I ever had a cold the whole 10 years I drank like a fish, but that's probably because I was too drunk to know at the time). Since I'm prone to sinus infections and bronchitis with even the slightest cold, my doctor has always stressed drinking LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of water, hot showers, saline spray upside the nose as much as needed, saltwater gargles and orange juice. No cure but alleviates the respiratory discomfort..

Okay - I used Ricola throat lozenges with elderberry in them. The
elderberry is supposed to have properties that help knock out a cold quicker also.
Then I drank the apple cidar vinegar and honey drink. If your smeller isn't working
this actually feels great on a sore throat, but as soon as you can smell just a little
you'd swear you were drinking left over vinegar dye from making Easter Eggs!
So I moved on to Airborn. Yes I know you take it to "prevent" a cold, but it also has a lot of vitamins etc... in it. I made it with hot water which I hope didn't kill off
any medicinal elements. My throat is so sore cold water is unbearable.
I ate chicken noodle soup and have been sleeping tons. Today is my 3rd day of this.
I am gong to work tonight. I bearly have a voice and am pretty wooped. Wish me luck! Don't worry I will warn the customers and use a seperate mic. :D

Two days now - no smoking. I'm hoping to continue it even after I'm better.
It is so much easier to quit this way. When I tried to smoke it was horrible.
Now why can't they invent something that makes you feel like crap when you smoke
like this cold is doing. I could easily quit if that was the case.

Hi Babs! Sorry you are still not feeling well. I did have a dr. tell me once to go home and gargle with a solution that was half peroxide and warm water. He cautioned me not to swallow but try to get the solution as far back into my throat as possible. When you do this, it immediately begins removing a white pus (stuff) from the throat / tonsil area. He said to keep spitting this stuff out. I still say I have my best luck when I just go see the dr. He gives me a shot and some meds to get me well and usually in 24 hours, I feel like a new man...although feeling like a new man would not be a good thing for you! LMAO How about feeling like a new person! LOL I hope you get better soon!--Mike

If your throat hurts that bad for 3 days, I think it's time to see a Dr.

I always give every virus at least a week to clear up. I
will go see a doctor Monday if I'm not getting better.

wow - I made it through tonight no problem, except a raspy voice.
I think I'll be good to go by Saturday. I was telling everyone about the apple cidar vinegar drink. I had 6 singers not sing tonight because of colds. That is the most ever. Be careful everyone it is the season of colds.
