People ask me to sing SC all the time, and the crowd sings along.......AP is way too long of a song......... .....I wrote a Sweet Monica(Lewinski) back when they had the scandal......had to use a midi file, so I wouldn't have the backup refrain..... .....jj

American Pie is too long??? I used to be asked, by the KJ, to sing "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" so he could take a poddy break, get a drink and flirt at the bar!

I never understood why a kj needed an extra long song to do all that  (unless your bathroom is in another building or something  ). I get the singer rolling, go to the restroom (sometimes will order my drink on the way to the restroom - sometimes not), on my way back up, get my drink & back to the booth with enough time to get the next singer cued up. Total time takes about 3-4 minutes. As far as the flirting, again, no long song needed for that, it get's done all throughout the night.

Lyin' Eyes + 1 Bad Male Singer = [(A Need For A Strong Drink * Somebody Fun To Talk To / X) * 7.5] / (Current Time - 1.25 hrs.)
(Daddy's Hands + 1 Sweet Sincere But Bad Female Singer) / X = (Lyin' Eyes + 1 Bad Male Singer) - 3.14

I used to sing this song...but sheesh, that was back in my Coyotes' days...I'd use it to try and stir the crowd up...buy a drink for the loudest audience participation on the "Bamp-ba-ba"
Nothing stirs up a crowd like a shot at free alcohol
