Makes you wanna go out and buy a Hummer now, huh?

I wonder if the recent layoffs and slow sales of US cars/trucks had anything to do with the sudden drop in gas prices?

Keith, elections are less than 2 months away, watch gas go under $2.00 by then :O
Yep, you nailed it fersure....... :(

Hey, I got it!...The oil companies will now buy out the car makers real cheap, and then all cars will only get 10MPG and gas will cost $5/GAL.... :(

Geez it is still $2.89 here in Chicago.

Someone pumps your gas for you? What's that?

Heck it is getting to the point here you can't even have a cashier.
It is automated too. Grocery stores, Walmarts, Targets

If that means that all cars will be muscle cars, then there is a silver lining.

I agree, they really did a great job with the retro look on the new Mustangs. But have you noticed how many are up for sale on the used market?...Tons of them down here are going at rather low prices.....I don't know why....could be cause folks rushed out and bought something they couldn't afford, or could be they just don't like them.

could also be the same reason Yahoo reported about the sales of scooters and motorcycles... they're up and the car market is wayyyyy down!

Last night regular unleaded was $2.98 at the least expensive gas station in this area. If I had known (assuming prices actually DID fall today) I'd have waited and not filled the car last night.  Naturally the #()@($&$ attendant didn't mention a significant drop over the course of the next day.  Assuming there has been one here in central Ct.  Probably why you folks pay so little now,  Ct. has jacked the prices up to compensate for all other states  :(

Florida's not much better, Steven.  Regular unleaded was $2.75 last glance.

Nah,  If that's the worst luck I have this month,  it's a great month.  So-far something worse happened.  I was hoping to go just ONE spring-summer-fall season without coming near a snake.  In fact I was doing fine UNTIL... This afternoon.  One was on my porch looking at me while I was about to go out, and siphon water from an AC sleeve that was accumulating too fast... Naturally after seeing this massive Garter snake  (thing was at least 18 inches long), I stayed in this afternoon, and the water ended up dripping inside my condo.. Today was traumatic.  For the past 9 hours EVERYTHING I walk by (whether it's a rubber band, cord, string, shoe-lace) gives me an adrenaline rush... Everything now looks like a snake  :(

Steven, are you serious?.....Catch the garter snake and make a pet of it.....They are so cool!......Get a few small gold fish and place them in a shallow pan full of water and then show them to the garter snake...he will leap in the water and devour them instantly....It's intertaining.

LOL Keith.   It's funny.   When you think of it, it would be so easy to remedy the "No Snake" problem they have in Alaska..  One pregnant female about to lay her brood (is that what it's called with snakes ??) would remedy the "no snake" situation.... All someone needs to do, is release a few pr of Garters.  They habituate to VERY low temps.... like winter temps.... In fact, they've been seen in snow

For some strange reasons, California decided to impose a huge tax on gas so we have one of the highest prices in the nation. Here we are, we have few off shore drilling and one of larger processing plant yet our prices are high. Last time I checked, regular unleaded was $2.79 or so a gallon. I have to use premium, which was down to $2.99 per gallon.
