About $2.40 in DFW, Texas. Since a lot of stations are switching away from "summer gas" in our area, the prices are dropping. I'm not completely filling anything up for at least a few more days.

2.79 Gal in Portland

I was in Salt Lake over the weekend and 3.01 was the cheapest I could find and it was about the same in Boise Idaho.

Gasoline prices here really suck right now....... I dunno why Oregon is one of the higher priced states.

My Bronco does NOT like being so close to the "E" mark all the time.  :(

Keith, bottle me up some and send it up here  LOL ... I can't even imagine gas going back to $1.99 here. Lucky you.

Makes you wanna go out and buy a Hummer now, huh?

I wonder if the recent layoffs and slow sales of US cars/trucks had anything to do with the sudden drop in gas prices?

They probably charge more since you can't pump your own gas in OR....

Today's price in Hurst Texas is .......
$2.29

Yah, plobly.....  LOL

I learned to drive in California. So it was different when we moved here. But, I still find myself getting out of my Bronco to hang the pump back up..... seems ALL the gas stations are under-staffed, and when I've been pumped & have paid, I'm ready to leave. I hate waiting on slow people.  :(

And gas prices here make me sick.... especially after reading what you all pay. It's a bit spendier here I think than in PDX too. Heck, I hardly look at prices anymore. They should just read:

Regular: Expensive
Premium: More Expensive
Premium Plus: Get outta town, who buys Premium Plus any more?

I remember the first time I ever stopped in OR to get gas.  I thought the guy was going to tackle me or wanted to fight.  I got into an arguement with him.  I didn't want to pay the "extra" cost for full service...LOL  Luckily I am a pretty quicker learner.

And you know I can't stand the was gas prices vary...2.29 on the corner by my house and two blocks away it is 2.40...That's just wrong

Yeah, some people think it odd. I was used to it, having partly grown up here.... though I hadn't really driven myself when we first left Oregon, I recall my parents getting fuel.

Cali was weird at first. We were like "These lazy arses down here wont even pump your da'mn gas for ya?" haha  But again, that's where I learned to drive, so I got used to pumping my own, It's nice to not have to get out at all at stations, but like I said... you can go to a place with 3 islands, 12 pumps, and have ONE high school kid running between all of them to pump the gas. The wait is sometimes awful.

Now that Labor Day is passed, shouldn't the stuff be going DOWN?
