Odie, I just got home & checked my phone. Did you call me?  Well, obviously you did, haha, you're on my caller ID.... But nobody told me if you left a message. I'm home now if ya wanna call again, or PM me.

I've been.... guess what? Yep, you guessed it. Broke down on side of the road. Cell phone isn't working at the moment, so I had to creepy crawl up the road to the gas station in Wilsonville to use a phone. Called hubby, who told me "Well, you know what to do Charm".  The Bronco was overheating... well, overheating is putting it mildly, it was pegged to the far right.  :shock:  And since I'm not much for jogging, and don't trust strangers on side of the road, I had to chance it the rest of the way up the freeway to call him. JUST to be told that I could HANDLE it on my own.

Well, duh, most days I can. I just needed a little reassurance that all would be fine. I lifted the pressure valve and let it cool a bit. I found a huge crack in the hose, right by the pump. No tools or pocket knife in the truck to remove the hose and repair it, no tape to rig it up to get me home safely. The water/air thing at the gas station was out of order, and I was too afraid to drive to another station. So, the nice guys at the gas station mini mart gave me some 24 ounce soda cups and the use of their break room sink to refill my radiator with.  :( (which took, like 20 minutes..... ) Then, it started flooding the water back out. Turned the truck off, and it SHOT the water out. So, it's got a water block now. It never would completely fill up and cool down.

Called hubby back (since by now I've MISSED my appointment, which was a freaking job interview da.mn it.... I'm sure their impression of me now will be "flaky and unreliable without good transportation") ....... and  I asked hubby if he'd give me 20 minutes, and if I didn't show, come up the freeway looking for me? Mind you- only Canby to Wilsonville, not all that far going the back way. In days of old he woulda been worried about poor little wifie sitting all alone in a broke down truck. What a wake up call. You know what hubby-oh-mine says now? "Oh yeah, you're vapor locked for sure, hope you can make it on back to Canby, cause my hands are tied.... I'm in the middle of rebuilding a pump".

Freaking (@$%&#!) idiot !! I mean, da'mn him to hell and back !!  We'll see who gets called NEXT time. And that was my last 50 cents I had on me, or I'd have called my dad anyhow.

So, can ya tell I'm a bit ticked off? And why I'm not in the mood to hear you say I can't read or post in your thread?  :madgo: I think I'm gonna slice his radiator hose tonight, and wait for him to call ME in the morning to come get him. I'll say "Oh, geez, hope you make it on to work, cause I'm in the middle of curling my hair hon".
