I would like a spreadsheet like configuration where you enter the singer name on left and ability to assign a song to a subsequent space to the each column next to the user name. Once the rotation is done, it goes back to the next column to the top. I would ilke it if you can add and move singers at will and the entire song selection moves with the singer.

Just my opinion.

If that is what you are looking for, COmpuhost is what you're looking for, but then you gotta deal with reripping and a dongle for their security  measures.

Elvis, if you are afraid of little ole me, then do like I instructed earlier....Download free COMPUSEC and encrypt your whole hard drive. Then even thieving guys like me can't steal your music.

I can't imagine how it is possible for me or anyone to do that to begin with, but if it makes you feel more secure, then do the encryption thang.

I'll be honest with you Elvis.....The last thing you need to protect from me is your music....But if you happen to have(I doubt) a really hot woman cooking your supper, then you need to keep an eye out for me...I'll steal her by dawn and have her throwing rocks at you.

Hey, maybe that's why you seem so angry at me....What was her name? I might have pics of her.... LMAO

If I do, it ain't the end of the world....There are plenty more like her....You come visit and we can rodeo the horses and I'll introduce you to plenty of cute cowgals....Just pull yer panties outta yer crack first so you ain't walking funny.

You know Elvis, I like guys like you, but mostly only in person....Cause usually in person guys like you don't call me a bum or an >>>>head....Why is that?

You are in new Orleans, I'm right up the road in Alexandria. You come visit and get all you want, I got plenty.

Keith,
This guy is not doing any good in promoting the program that he is associated with. People reading his posts got p**s off. He start calling people name just because they don't like or don't use the program. I for one will not even consider using it or even mention it by name just because of this guy.
Yep,

Jian, what do you use to play and host your karaoke music there in Serian?

I must tell you again my friend, I am jealous of you there. You people seem to be so open and honest and friendly.

Maybe someday I will be able to travel there.

I still use dics, not just any dics but the old vcd and using JVC  to play them. For home use I use winamp. Its free.

I will soon rip my vcd collection to HD; 450+ discs. Still can't figure out how to compress the .dat file which used up too much space.

A night of drink and frustration led to this post so it has been deleted.
I ended up getting in touch with the guys at sax and dotty and sorted out my issues. I was given a bum steer in another forum about what the license meant and its not so bad.
I bought 2.
I do still think its a shame that the licensing has to be so strict on such great software but hey I guess the guy has gotta make a living!
Apologies to the sax and dotty crew for the last post.
Cheers,
Rob in Oz.

Jian, why don't you use MP3.    If it's possible.      2,000 laser disc songs on a 400 gig hard drive.

Mp3 is an audio file; where will the video be? I hope to covert them to avi or mpeg, which ever is a better option.

My advice is steer clear of Sax and Dottys. They treat their paying customers like potential criminals and make you contact them online for registrations so if you need to reinstall windows and then reinstall the program you are screwed and have to pay all over again!
They won't get another cent out of me!
Cheers,
Rob in Oz.
I suggest you take extra care whenever buying any downloaded application. Sometimes you can save the install file to disc and add a text file that includes your registration info for when you have to reinstall it. Some sellers make you register online at time of purchase to activate your application and there is no going back if you lose it.

I lost 80 bucks with Norton a few years ago like that, so you can believe I'll never use Norton again.

Either way, you might wanna start reading their license agreements closer before you buy. I know you are angry right now, but I bet it was hidden somewhere in the agreement that you would have to repurchase if the program required reinstall.

I agree tho, that you should have been able to work it out with them via email or phone. All they had to do was check their records and allow you to reactivate.

Now really ... Did we have to go THERE ??? Has nothing to do with karaoke MTU or anything in this thread. C'mon grow up ! ( both of yall )

I personally like MTU easy to work ( im tech. challenged LOL)Much easier than the cdgs we were toting all over. I am aware that there are much cheaper versions of the same kin of thing but was drawn to MTU from the start, And like the idea of KJs we hire not being able to steal what I have worked for years to BUY. Our company prides ourselves on having every song KJ and Dj legally bought with the cdgs to back it up.I dont care if they steal it b/c theyre gonna get it somewhere BUT THEY WONT STEAL IT FROM ME !!

OK, OK.......I'll be nice.

Hey, seriously.....How does the hired help steal your music?....I think that is a subject we need to discuss and how to prevent it.

While everyone is talking about programs, has anyone used compuhost.  I'm leaning towards it but would be really glad to take advice on the do's and don't of all the programs out there? :)

well I downloaded the demo for compuhost and to tell u the truth I kinda like winamp better. I thought I would love it but I didnt too much

PROS: plays filler music automatically between singers
has a few little video bites
when it opens, the secondary screen goes right to tv and auto sizes itself

CONS(for me)

cant move the songs around at will
          $179.00

My advice is to download the demo and see if you like it! If you do Go for it
