How's the weather?
The heat has subsided for now. It is almost wierd to feel cold.
I may have to take a nap just because.
Are you guys awake yet?

Hi Kappy I don't believe I've ever seen you up so early.
I hope your illness has passed. My daughter is trying to go to school today. That flu bug is aweful.

It's been hovering near a hundred most all month down here....both the temps and humidity have been pretty high...got a little cooler last few days due to rain...more scheduled today.....I'll hit the sheets soon as it starts thundering...If I don't, the storm will catch me on my feet and I'll bang my head when I lapse into a coma....Thunder makes me wanna slumber....I keep the bedroom around 50 degrees with it's own window unit....The rest of the house is on central A/C....I also have a pedistal fan that I flip to high whenever I get near the bed....I don't sleep, I go into a coma, so I need to keep the bedroom like a meat locker in case I die in my sleep....I'm glad the wife likes the same or she would have to sleep on the couch.

it's been raining off and on all week... and the lawn looks like a forest. But I absolutely don't want to mow it and have that clumpy, wet grass to deal with... sun's came out today... I'll mow before I head to work (I work the 2nd shift)

I know what ya mean about the grass. I have a bit of duck grass
that is driving me nuts. It is like crab grass, but harder to get rid of.
It looks like normal grass just 10 times larger.
I keep looking at the grass hoping the lawn fairy will cut it for me. LMAO

Where you live keith I'd think you could buy some goats to take care of the grass.
They drink less beer, but aren't as good conversationalists.

I'm going to tell robbie you suggested I replace him with a goat....He liked skinny blondes till now ...My wife hates him....she would love a goat compared to him.....Hey, why do all wives hate their man's guy friends?....is it a competition thang?

A few years ago we went out and taught these mice how to jump... Then the game and fish dept discovered them and immediately put them on the endangered species list..
Here is a short paragraph on them note the small range they inhabit.
Location: This shy, largely nocturnal mouse lives primarily in heavily vegetated, shrub-dominated riparian (streamside) habitats and immediately adjacent upland habitats along the foothills of southeastern Wyoming south to Colorado Springs along the eastern edge of the Front Range of Colorado. The PMJM range include Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Denver, Douglas, El Paso, Elbert, Jefferson, Larimer, and Weld counties in Colorado; and Albany, Laramie, Platte Goshen, and Converse counties in Wyoming. This area has undergone rapid residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial development that has impacted the PMJM habitat.
Here is the official link
Next we are going to teach some turtles how to fly....

Temp here in Salem, MO is cold(67 degrees) and rainy...one of those days where you would just like to crawl back into bed and cover up your head, or find a good book to read. I am thankful for the break from the heat though. - Tonya

It was in the upper 80's yesterday, barely hitting 70 today & rain/possible t-storms & low-mid 60's tomorrow. Supposed to be back in the 80's this weekend.

I tackled the lawn today... still some wet blades, but that's to be expected... I had some that were pretty tall! !
It sure looked better! Now if only I can tell my legs that! !

We've had sun here the past three days! And the temps have climbed into the mid 60s.
Dang! Summer has finally arrived!

Wew!!! That sounds like a heat wave for you guys!!! I hope you enjoy your shorts weather....
Been a bit cooler here. And the ironic thing is I just flew back to TX from Seattle yesterday and it was warmer in Seattle than it was in Texas yesterday....
