Really good friend of mine was riding in golf cart at work when they were hit by truck. Cart driver not expected to make it-bleeding from ears-severe head injuries...My buddy is in ICU due to lots of busted ribs and possible internal injuries...Too late tonight to go visit...they will know more tomorrow.

Thanks for all your best wishes, keep your fingers crossed...He is one of the best people and entertainers around.

Will be in my prayers Keith.  Hope all goes well.

He is a drill sarge type at our local boot camp for wayward youth...He lived with me for quite awhile after closing his bar...had the absolute best karaoke show in the area....I'm going to kick his butt once he heals up!

Sorry....English is my first language.....I'm still working on it.

We down here rate road kill by the size of the splatter....You know, on a 1-10 scale...My buddy was only a 5 maybe....I've seen worse.

You are correct, tho....he didn't rupture, so there was no splatter....I quess i shoulda said he got banged by a truck, but then folks would be saying I was revealing his sexual side.....HUH?

I'm gonna wait till he gets moved to a room and then send him a candy basket, you know, those flower shop baskets they fill with little packs of assorted fat pills?.....The guy is a chick magnet, but he hates fluffy girls.....
Trouble is fluffy girls love him.....So I figure if I send him a candy basket instead of flowers all the chubby nurses will make sure to check on him constantly.

I love the guy and he is finally in a place where me and his other buddies can really screw with him.....He's got lots of busted ribs, so we will try to make him laff and get used to the pain.

He's a former sailor like me.....Trust me, I know the breed well....We cry when nobody's looking, and we only respect those who challenge us the most...He will be there when it's my turn....I hope....If he had died, we would have been angry with him.

I just chatted with his Dad. They are moving him to a room.....He looks like there is no internal bleeding, just quite a few busted ribs.....

Cart driver is gonna make it.

It was family day....lots of civilians driving around post....Old fart in large pickup was driving way too fast and hit golf cart on driver's side....They had a cadet in back seat...Cadet was treated and released at scene....Buddy got trapped under cart when it flipped and got his ribcage crushed, but lungs/organs not punctured.

Whew.....

I'm gonna kick that boy's azz for scaring me.

Yea, Keith I'm with you laughter is the best medicine....Keep him laughing and he'll be better in no time at all.  And make sure you tell him he needs to get that golf cart soupped up so he can outrun those trucks....And what was he thinking???

Give him a thump on the head for me and tell him there is a fluffy (I'm not very fluffy but he doesn't need to know that) chick in Texas thinking about him....

Isis, girls go nuts over this guy...He is so...so, man I can't describe him...he is just so easy going and disarming and great looking and honest and sincere and kinda playful-boyish-yet manly.....When he lived here we tag-teamed them every single night and juggled their phone calls in between and never did any of them do the anger/jealous thang....my wife was crying last night when we heard he was in ICU...I need to talk to her bout that, huh?.....Nah, she would just lie.  bless her heart.

..  Anyway, hope he pulls thru.

Steven, you really should consider marriage. My reasons are:

-this is the bible belt, tho shalt not shack up
-she qualifys for my health insurance when she gets sick(saves me $$)
-spares her kid embarrassment by not saying,"He's my moms boyfriend"
-inheritance gives my wife motivation to attempt to kill me legally
-My son gets to call an underclassmate his step mother (they went to high school together, but she was two grades behind him and his wife)
