Moody Blues - Question Of Balance on 8 Track was my fav!!!!!

I remember one of the smaller recording studios I worked for we used a really nice sounding Betamax HiFi recorder to do mix downs!  It was as close to digital sound at the time as you could get.

Around the time they released Question of Balance Justin Hayward was only about 16-17 years old tops.  I saw their concert at Madison Square Garden around that time when the Moody Blues ran thru that album live... Amazing !   Talented group !
Wikipedia has him listed as being born in 1946, but I don't think there's anyway he's near 60.  I doubt he could be much older than mid-50's

When I think of the sound quality of those old 8 tracks it is amazing
how far we've come. I just asked my daughter if she has ever heard a record
played. She is 19 yrs old and has never had the experience. WOW

My mom now is 88 She has witnessed the biggest tech advance in history. We sit at the table and talk about the internet all she knows is what they say on tv...One of her best christmases was when she got the little RCA 45 record player and a bunch of records. I listen to Bill Blacks Combo playing Blue Tango now and weep...or star dust....
