Every forum I know has general discussion forum that discuss general topics. I mean, if we stuck only to Karaoke in these forums, the traffic would cut by half or more. The idea behind the forum is to socialize with people who has similar interests. My vote is to create karaoke only forum or leave it as is and respect the threads.

Taking time off to read a book distracts me way too much from KS. I try to avoid reading anything else as much as possible.

Add a special room for me too. I'm tired of being this reticent. I have stuff to say !

I will do my best to stay on topic but I draw the line at having to ask permission to go into Kappy's room.

Sorry, the room is already filled to capacity ! No room ! LOL
Nah, chuck, I'd have a "just about anything goes room". As long as it's about important stuff... like, oh......<thinking>...
ME !!

It's difficult to impossible to get a large room of members that have a tendency to go on tangents to adhere to a no-threadjacking policy. This has been proposed in smaller rooms, and it goes over like a lead balloon. It's easier to have a topic forum with a description of the rooms purpose.

I have to agree with Odie....two seperate forums, but I also agree with some of the other comments too...if you don't like the stuff, then skip over it.....after all, isn't this the general discussion forum anyway? Karaoke/music/singing stuff should be in the singers forum; techie stuff should stay in the technical forum and so on. Learn to pick and choose which topic you want to read and/or post to...Tonya

Leaving it as it is now WILL NOT STOP the problem: Thats why we have the problem in the first place.
We need a separate forum room for karaoke related stuff. The discussion room may be renamed the Bar/ the Lounge or whatever.
