This has been a heated topic for several days. I would like to see what the majority
of people would like to do.

I also wanted to add, but the controls would not let me.

*Would you like to see the KJ forum turned into anything karaoke, but you must
stay on topic.

Not copycatting, but....... #4. Seems best to me.

Why go bugging Phil with a bunch more "Do this now please".... when we should be able to keep things under control ourselves?

I think that is a nice compromise. It will be hard to enforce though. I think the best
way to make this happen is to ask in the beginning post that it please stay on topic.

I luv ya girly, but don't mess with perfect.

'Great' conversation must be allowed to follow where ever it leads until it exhausts itself.

Thread starters can always inject a bump to get back on topic or they can accept that we here have exhausted all we know on the subject and decided to babble n flirt with each other while we have the opportunity.

Babs, you should accept by now that blondes will never be taken seriously when they mention subjects related to 'the meaning of life' or 'cosmic order'. LMAO I appreciate your mind, but I am too distracted by your looks to take you seriously.

I simply CAN'T ever stay on topic. Perhaps an online character flaw. But, I can't help myself. I never have anything to add to the original topic, but then someone says something, and I want to reply to THAT, which is always NOT the topic.... Heck, if it helps, put "No Gilly's allowed" in the title. But, unless i NEVER post, nothing i say, will EVER be on topic. Sorry.

You just described your most attractive side....Gilly, I love the way you inject yourself and reveal the real you....You do it every chance you get....nothing is more attractive than honesty....Your beauty will prove ageless if you protect your attitude like most women attempt to protect their youthful skin.

I really like the idea of having two open discussion rooms.  One strictly for karaoke related topics and one for the flirting, comedy, topical issues and assorted personal chitter-chatter. That way each room will have a little more of a unified, in-sync feel to it.  You won't have to scan through so many unrelated threads.

I would recommend another category... However it seems to me most are using this forum in an amatuerish chat room fashion. I would suggest adding chat rooms and relieve part of the tensions in that way..If you want to chat then chat Why write a book at the same time?

i'm with odie on this one...i don't think it's too much to ask for a separate fun forum...it's just human nature NOT to stay on topic, even some of those that fuss about it all the time go off topic every now and then...

it's ok if someone wants to "write a book".... my god just skip over them if you don't want to read them....

You guys, it's really simple:

If you want to talk tech stuff, go to the Technical Forums:

Quote:
Do you have a technical question regarding Karaoke Hardware and Software, ask it here. One of the Karaoke Scene Staff or our fabulous "TECHIE" members will get you an answer

If you want to talk stuff related to karaoke & singing, go to the Singers Forum.

Quote:
Here you can ask a question, make a comment, or just chat about the Singer's Showcase?

If you want to read the other stuff, hang out here in the Discussion Forum. If you don't, then.... DON'T.

Quote:
This is the place to talk about almost anything. BECOME A MEMBER & JOIN THE FUN!

Geez, this has been NAMED the place to talk about WHATever......

I'm with Odie on this one as well.

It seems to me that the Singers Forum is more about recording and submitting songs, the Tech forum is about equipment etc. and the Discussion Forum is mostly for non-karaoke related subjects (or subjects that become non-karaoke related).

I appreciate that many of the active members love to discuss all sorts of subject matters with each other but I personally would like an area that I know is karaoke related and that those users will, for the most part, stay on topic.  I will still browse the other topics for other areas of interest .....  I'm sure the quantity and length of posts relating to only karaoke subject matter will pale in comparison though!

I would like the KJ forum to remain a KJ only forum.

Susie :)

And so do you hon, you just think you need them ALL.  :D

........................

If everyone wants a "new room" to discuss "karaoke chatter not related to technical issues or singers"..... then for crying out loud, ask Phil the magician to create you one. A different one, can't have this one, it's already taken....

But I wish you'd make up your minds, and keep this kinda stuff OUT of the General Discussion Forum, this whole thing really is in bad taste.

Only problem is, the singer's forum is for SINGERS SHOWCASE, and we TRIED that a long time ago, and folks there got all uppity and said to take it to the "General discussion forum".

I personally see nothing wrong with having a "karaoke" board, and a "general" board.
