I hear ya Michael. I guess my aproach would be to just not say anything in response if I didn't agree. But if they persisted and got really annoying, then all bets are off! LOL Looking forward to hearing the sub! :)

I love it when mormons or 7th day adventists arrive at my door, my pentacle is always worn low on my exposed cleavage, I normally have my broom in one hand and my cloak casually thrown back from my shoulders...if they stay long enuff to look it gives them something to do penance for...or whatever it is they get satisfaction and absolution from

I too have noticed an exodus of long-time regulars--very little seen of Lonman, Knightshow, Timberlea, Big Mike and many other "PREMIUM POSTERS". As to myself I've greatly decreased my activitiy posting. Cant speak for the others but I can explain my reasons:
1. I come here to read and participate in Karaoke-Specific topics. I come to increase my knowledge, listen to peoples karaoke DJing, singing, equipment, show, etc experiences and share mine as they apply to Karaoke-Specific threads.
2. Of late(over the last few months) there has been a measurable movement away from Karaoke-related threads to general discussion-non-karaoke related topics. These are not what I come for here. After all the name of site is Karaoke Scene Not Politics Scene, or Religion Scene or, War Scene or general events scene. Less and less of Karaoke related topics. Hence I spend less and less time here.
Perhaps its' time for WEBBY to create a GENERAL discussion forum for such topics and move non-karaoke related topics there.
But thats where I am with the present direction on KS. To my mind lets get back on topic and keep with the KARAOKE DISCUSSIONS!!
I tried to quit a few weeks ago for this very reason. I was ashamed of my own actions on this site. I don't want to alienate anybody especially not the "Premium Posters". They have the most to lose if this site changes, which it has from the way it was when they joined. I decided to stay here for two reasons, first, I could not find a way to delete my account and second because this site had evolved into more of a chat than a forum before I even arrived. I regretted my part in the quickening of this but if I left it would be the same.
To me it seems like a very good idea to create another area where we tards can posts without regret and have our inane fun. This seems like the best compromise for everyone. Doing this we can keep from losing the "Premium Posters" and the "Tards" such as myself. While losing less people the site will gain a lot of new members as well.
I am only making suggestions and expanding on the reasons why I agree with SwingcatKurt. I have no intentions of changing what he said in the orginal post. I respect the "Premium Posters", this website is more for them than for me.

Mornin Chuck I just got in from the Andrew Newton Hypnotic show, took my mum its the first time she has been out at nite for ages becos she had been full time carer for dad. Treated her to her very first indian curry too. It was certainly worth the 3 hour round trip to do it, was great to see her laugh again after burying the old man

The talk in here is almost ridiculous sometimes. Anything mildly off topic is "tardy?"
But it's nice those non-tards have something to talk about. (Their new "He man Tards haters club!")
-Let's git 'em Spanky! I laughed myself silly on the "Start a thread and mark it (NO TARDS!)." bit... talk about funny! I can just see the line of threads with "NO TARDS" on the title! !! "I don't feel TARDY!" Gee, David Lee Roth was a Tard in Van Halen's "Hot For Teacher"
Heh heh. How'd that get there? David Lee was the most screwed over singer in rock history. He totally made Van Halen, Van Halen. The posters with him doing what you would have to call an "air splits" and the long blond hair, the cat calls/tarzan wails in their songs, the everything. He was it. Too bad he couldn't have been a little less of an ego maniac (Dave TV on MTV) He left the band to stew in their own juices and went off and did a solo album. No one with that much music savvy and talent and charisma has ever fallen on their face that hard. I wanted to like his albums once he went out on his own but they sort of sucked. What a shame. The worst thing was when they brought him back about 3-4 years ago for a reunion tour and then after making the album they told him to get lost again. What a shame.
As for why people are leaving us I think it's because we don't talk about David Lee enough. I'm sure that's it. We need David Lee to sub a few songs in here and then everything will be kosher.

As with most things sometimes the solution is RIGHT THERE ..sometimes so simplistic it is over looked.
If the Subject is about rotations ---Let's talk about rotations - KJ views / Singers Views / Non singer ..all are encouraged to particpate to discuss the TOPIC of the discusion. The problem is when replies given that are
No. 1 : Just useless banter usually alcohol related late at night LMAO
No. 2: JUST WAY TO LONG --Holy Crap --Get off KS and write a book or something
No. 3: Flaming someone one from previous topics
No. 4: If you want to try to pick up someone ---try eharmony or My space LMAO
Sure go ahead and start a discussion about your Uncle Jims Bunion --Just make sure you Tiltle it such so everyone doesn't waste their time.
Take a look at this exact discussion and you will find the reasons "people are leaving us...." I don't believe they are gone...just lurking for the right time and discussion ... ONE more thing ...If a newbie joins and starts a discussion on

Well there ya go! People come here because this is where the members are. Members are here because the talk is more interesting. It's natural to want to forum where the peeps are but 60% of the posts here come from about 4 people. (and that's exactly what some people are complaining about!) Without the "tards" this discussion is over. Take it over to the KJ section where the "tards" don't post and suddenly it's very dull and boring.
Right or wrong, that is right on the button! Peeps go where the topics are loose, the women are (okay, won't go there), and the tards are tardier.
Could this be true? Yep.

To me, anything considered "perfect" is a very subjective suggestion...and really, to be honest, I think in the average life time, how many times have you honestly heard something that was truly, without question, unhesitatingly "perfect"?
The idea of perfect is of a perfect score, not a perfect song, since that changes for everyone. That should be obvious.

The members will follow the tards anyway and then the "premium poopers" will follow them so that someone actually listens to their post.
If a premium poster whines about tards in the forest and no one is there to hear, does it make a sound?

People want to post and get answers. We have a forum for singers and we
have a forum for KJs. Very few people post in these sections. So people don't go there much. I stop in to these forums once in a while to see what is going on. It appears they stay on topic in their posts. If you want that kind of atmosphere it is here.
So I don't understand - Is it that you want the discussion forum to be for only karaoke talk? If that happens it will turn into a dead room like the KJ forum.
I really like the idea that if you post a topic related to karaoke we stay on topic.
The best way to get this reaction is to add it your opening post. I've seen people do this before and most people do respect that.
For instance, if I want to keep my thread on topic I would just ask every one to please not take it off topic. I think this is a great way to compromize.
Now I'm off to read the post "Flirting & avatars" LMAO

You a baaaaad doggie!
Jeff here posts about 30-45 posts a week. That's stopping you from posting?
If you have something to say you can certainly post at any time, right? You're not saying you get too intimidated to post are you? I realize Chuck is intimidating in his new photo and Steven tears phone books in two but come on! You can't be afraid of that rolled up newspaper at this stage, can you? Come on DAWG. Here boy!
So what happens? You're getting ready to post and suddenly Steven posts a new post. Oh nooooo! Now I can't send in this post. Mine is nowhere near as good as that smartypants Steven....
