Well, went to see them in St. Paul tonight...remind me never to spend $100 on two seats when idiots insist on standing in the rows in front of you. I wonder if they did that while watching this show on TV.
Other than that, they put on a nice show. The accoustics were awful but then when shows like this play a new city every day the venues that can accommodate the large numbers of people likely to show usually stink anyway.
What was very clear, and very interesting, from the audiences reaction, Chris Daughtry and Elliot Yamin were the hands down favorites. Just from popular response this evening, one can see if things were handled correctly, Chris would have won with Elliot Yamin coming in second (I'm a fan of Elliot myself, the whole reason I went). While both sing highly different styles of music as different as night and day, these are two distinctive and talented individuals.
Note: We left while McPhee was singing "Over the Rainbow" and before Taylor Hicks came out although I could hear him mumbling "Hound Dog" on the way to the parking lot. McPhee is fine, but geez, she sounds like any 1,000 well trained singers I've ever heard.
That's the way I would have called it in the show also, Chris wins, Eliot takes second. (Don't get me started)
