Great, you're gonna make fun too. After the time I spent taking pics.

I can't "go sing on the landing"....... You mean the back patio? I do that, with my guitar...... I can't do it with my karaoke. #1, I'd most likely shock my arse off with the mic, #2- the mexicans in the fields would think I'm off my rocker.

Where the hell is Lonman when you need him?  :(

Hey, that circle doesn't look ANYthing like me.  :(

Teasing. Okay, lemme see if I can figure that out. I think... I need to get a smaller comp desk, so I can move it elsewhere, and get rid of the organ. I surely don't need that thing. (but.... dad thought I did..... he thinks I need one of everything, haha)

Keith, mr.smartazz, tell ya what? It's probably best you stay over there while I'm here..... I'll let ya know when I'm done in the techie forums, and we can switch back, okay? That blonde should be able to hold your attention a day or two...

You're not so dayum tough in your PM's you know, so quit pulling the big guy act in public.  LMAO

Ollie, I think we should stick to my first idea......

You come out, bring your nails, hammer, all that jazz...... and your ideas and knowledge. I'll feed ya, get the beer (and...er, somehow try to explain you to my husband, lollll)...... and we'll go from there.

Gotta run. See you tomorrow, okay?

I dig the tract lighting....

And I think she has the same Ovation Applause guitar I do (but I don't have tract lighting)....

Here's my advise. Leave EVERYTHING where it is, put blacklight bulbs into the tract lighting, fire up a doobie, turn out the lights (may need to cover that sliding door with a tie-dyed sheet), and lay in the middle of the floor on your back.

Your system will sound FAAAABULOUS!!!

Charmin,

If you ain't got the makin's for a doobie, hang on, I got lots of it out in the horse pasture. LMAO

Girl, have you simply TRIED moving things around like I suggested?...Set one speak on the comp desk, leave the other where it's at, face the speaks, and then stand by the rack n squawk...I mean 'sing'....Just try moving stuff temp and then whip your man into making it permanent and 'stylish' once you are pleased with how it sounds.

If you keep snappin at me I am going to treat you like any other woman that begs my help...Next time you ask me what you should do about whatever, I'm gonna say, "Gee, I dunno....But I bet you will figure it out."...So many women today want men to be encouraging and supportive, well I'll simply encourage you by saying "I know you can do it", and then go back to my rat killin and not suffer blame afterwards for my suggestions.

If you was one of my women, I'd lock me n you in the round pen and not let you out till you was totally sacked out and learned to obey me using just hand signals.

BTW, your man did a nice job building you that rack and all those shelves...I hope you snuggled up to him and picked the sawdust outta his chest hairs afterwards.

No, silly Keith. That carseat belongs to my grandbaby. (you DID know I'm a gramma now, right?.... I've blabbed it and posted pics from here to kingdom come)

That happened to be my PURSE sitting in the car seat. Gosh, put your glasses on.
Okay, so just to clear things up, THIS is my grandbaby Tucker:

Image

Isn't he cute.  :D

And THIS is my new puppy, her name is Melody. No, I did not get her at an auction, hubby brought her home as a surprise. I had one just like her a long time ago, and she was like my best friend... then she got hit by a car when we moved to a new house.  :(  So, he decided I needed another puppy. Bite me, I like animals.

Ok Charm I might be leaving so Ill finish the install..... When you get the speakers setup

!. Whichever is handiest change the polarity on one speaker (wires to the + -)  we want to get the speakers in phase when they are in phase the bass will be the loudest.

2 Then tweak the speakers angular postion You will find a (sweet) spot where the overall  response from bass to treble will be balanced

3. I hope your rack is on rollers pull it towards the landing Play a few different genres and tweak the eq for room and your preference.

We are done....

Oh, well, my husband and his crazy thang he has for lighting, you should see my bedroom, lollll. They look pretty cool though, when they are the only lights on in the room when we're singing.

Yup, that IS an Applause. I love that guitar. (except, the rounded back gets on my nerves a bit... ) Nice small fretboard, it suits me well. Is yours blue too?  :D

I don't roll doobies anymore, left that behind with my youth. I have, however, gotten a bit jacked up on some Absolut, and let me tell ya... EVERYthing I sing sounds fabulous on those nights:)

Nope, haven't lugged a thing yet. Have you guys, really SEEN this computer desk? It is L shaped, it faces two walls. I can't BUDGE that thing by myself. Plus, when I moved in here, somebody twisted it a bit in the moving (I wont say names... but he ticked me OFF)... and when I tried to put it together, a couple of the dowels had got bent and wouldn't go back in properly (where the 2 sides meet)...... Since SOMEbody was sneering at me that it was now "a useless piece of junk he wasn't  gonna move for me anymore"....... I nailed it together right where it sat.  :D  So, er, it would be REALLY hard to move this comp desk now, unless I buy a new one, and take this one out the easy way...... in pieces with a sledgehammer.

You're sure a prissy little thang, you know that? I tend to forget how you can't handle me, so I'll be nicer. But, as to the "treating me like any other woman"... I AM just any other woman, so treat me however you see fit. (just don't expect me to cower in a corner when you start thumping your chest...)

He knows when he's appreciated and when he's....... not. lolll

Okay, hold on!! Rewire one of my speakers?   Ollie, I'm gonna dig through this thread carefully and make sure everything you wrote is copy n' pasted in a "music room setup for dummies" folder on my desktop. Some of the things you say, I'm trying really hard to grasp...... I really really, haven't done much of this stuff. I usually just hook it up, say "Okay, I got sound".... and I'm done. I'd make a pizz poor KJ, it's a good thing I'm not one.

But thank you for all your help.... I'm just still trying to understand it.

:) Just reverse  the wires on one to make sure the speakers are in phase. and find which one produces the loudest bass..

Follow the rest of the steps.
Ok You are singing in the best spot With the door and open space behind you wont get feedback reflecting from the walls.

Your rack is positioned for access

With tweaking as suggested you will eventually reach the optimum acoustics for that setup.
 That'll be $250 please LOL  I do this for a living ......

LMAO  LMAO I'm probably the only one that ever drew a x-rated diagram in the tech forum LOL

Next you gotta move that milk can with the gardenias over to put the two beer coolers.

What time does the party start? :yum:

Er........Charge it to the dust and let the rain settle it? (that's what my dad always used to say...)

Okay, okay, I'll behave. If you DO this for a living, I think I need you on my side. (cause... Keith is too temperamental, and only wants to help in exchange for pics)

For right now... How many feet is it from the outer wall to the back fence? And what is the angle of the roof over this room? Does it slope towards the back? Do we need a blueprint and construction permit? Where is your electrical service head entrance?
