You know, reading this thread..... and a few others in the techie forums. (yes, I hang out here when I'm bored.... bite me)...... I realize I REALLY have my music room set up ALL WRONG. Must be why when I get to wailing stuff on the walls start vibrating and the feedback nearly shatters the windows?

Hmmmm....... I'm copying and pasting all these threads me thinks. Maybe someday I'll get it all done right. I'm too tech-stoopid.

Anyways, just thinking out loud here. Ignore me, carry on.  :D

(just letting you know... some of this is good advice for us new-to-equipment people too, IF you speak slowly enough  LOL )

Before you go to all that trouble, try singing with a pillow case over your face....if that don't work, try lip sync....I'm thinking the room will stop complaining if you do that.

Charmin......I luv ya, no joke......that's why I pick at you LMAO

Gurl, waddaya expect us guys to say when you leave the soap forums and venture into Male territory? You're cute fersure, but we are discussing things tech and vitally important to world peace.....don't you have dirty dishes or a hungry man to feed? LMAO  LMAO  LMAO

Keith, shuddap.

It's Ollie's thread...... and HE didn't tell me to leave yet....... so get out of here yourself, or you're stuck with me a bit.

And I only put a pillow case over my head when there's younguns in the house at night that I don't want hearing me.....

Yes, I know, you love me..... so I recall.

And this is NOT "male territory"..... you guys would never make it ANYwhere without women, so quit pretending you can.

Clean your room, show some pics around it, where everything is currently, available space around, etc...

Cyber beer & BBQ will work just fine.

Lonman, I'm thinking real beer n BBQ. A KS guy-only snot slinging gettogether where we project her room on the big screen and crank up the volume....(I can ship her a web cam).

Yep, I'm thinking that's the best way for her to get full benifit of our total advise. LMAO

Just as long as she doesn't do it when there is a good game on! LMAO

Seriously, Charm try to either describe your layout better or maybe craft a drawing of your situation, do you still need some quality speakers?

Okay, pics on the way....... lemme get them sent to photobucket. I er, had to get the clean laundry all put away. (yes, yes, I DO laundry, and it was all folded on the music room floor)

Yes, Keith, I still need good speakers. One of these days...... When I can get them, I'll be on here asking advice. (you can count on THAT) Cause I wont know what to buy. But, they'll have to wait until a better day, I have to do with these for now.

And, btw, this is NOT a "clean house contest"..... if it IS, then I'll fold the game. Haha, my dust bunnies love me and I love them. So, no comments on my dust.

Oh, and Keith... "craft a drawing"??? You don't know me very well. I don't craft a drawing of anything, unless drunk. That's what cameras are for.

Okay, pic 1 is...... (lemme look)....... the REASON I have no room to play with setup. Between the sliding glass door, my comp desk, and the dang organ my dad "thought I needed to add to my music room" take up two whole walls almost.

(scuse the darkness, cam flash wouldn't work against the glass door, and edit was butchering it, so this is as good as I could get it)

From my back hallway. You can see the one speaker to the far left.. the other, you'll see in a sec.

*edit....photo removed*  :D

OH, and when I SING..... I stand smack dab in the middle of the floor, with my back towards the sliding glass door and comp desk... as you'll see by the other pics.

This is kinda the same view, but shows the machine and the one speaker... AND how "open" this room is to the kitchen area.

Gonna put two in here, this is getting old:

This is my setup. Yes I know, cheap old TV, but hey- it works. And the cabinet, is just something I had my hubby throw together so I'd have a place to set the stuff. I don't have a karaoke "rack" or anything like that.

Standing at the glass sliding door, so you can see the other speaker placement:

Last set. (crossing fingers Phil don't kill me for putting these in here... if so, I'll stick them in my album) Unless, he TRULY kills me, haha.

What you see in the immediate foreground is the top of the right side speaker, I'm standing right behind it, so you can see how both are aimed... at each other, and the setup. (and.... where I stand in the middle of the floor)

THis ain't no kitchen, so the triangle rule don't apply!

Get them speaks across the room facing you and the the monitor tween them....Place you ample rack in reach.(I'm guessing it's ample LMAO )

I'm serious, your layout is a disaster. No wonder your room complains.

First suggestion try the speaker in the corner to the right of the sliding glass doors aimed slightly towards the wall and sing on the landing.

2 Put the speaker in the shelf corner aimed towards the organ Move the rack to the opposite corner Sing on the landing...

Oh, and before anyone asks, lemme explain.

Left speaker, YES, that IS a big ol' double rubber band around it. I think the casing has came loose or something. On all songs, but worse on songs with lots of bass, the whole case thumps like you're beating it with a baseball bat. (and.... I'm not, honest...)

So, that helps. Redneck, I know, but it does help.  :D

Ummmm...... I dunno. I'm pretty smallish head to toe, probably would NOT be ample enough for YOUR tastes. Sorry to disappoint.

Well, don't treat me like I'm stupid. I'm admitting I don't know how to set it up, and I'm asking for help. Actually, it was offered me. So quit it. I KNOW it's a disaster, I have to sing with it. God, why do you bring out the worst in me? Be nice, for once, so we don't turn this into a bashing contest.
