"koo koo ketchu Mrs Robinson" ?  What's with that ?
That might have been in protest of knowing that their song was going to be marketed as pop music.

Was it Chuck,  I wouldn't doubt it if it was Something like that.  Is there anything written on this.  It would make perfect sense actually.   The Graduate being a huge commercial success, and the fact they knew they were writing and singing the musical score

My sharona (the Knack)
Come on Eileen (dexys midnite runners)
A lot of Police stuff (too repetitive)
Hey Jude & some of John Lennon's stuff (for the same reason)
Alanis Morrisette playing the harp (she must have learned from Bob Dylan)

I have a HUGE list of songs I don't think I'd want my name ever associated with regardless of how much income they ended up bringing me. Problem is,  when I name half of them,  someone always seems to end up alienated by quite a few of my selections   .   Why do some people get offended when you really can't stand a song they like ?  I don't understand it.  No way I can figure this one out.  But there really was this one girl in college who thought the prettiest ballad ever composed was "Isn't She Lovely" by S Wonder....  <Gagging>  I'm not talking about the theme of the song,  I'm talking about the musical composition.

Couldn't she at least have picked a song such as "I believe when I fall in love with you it will be forever" ?    Even assuming she had,  Frampton did a much prettier version LOL..   I like Framptons version of "Maybe I'm amazed" more than McCartney's too however,  and I'm no big Frampton fan

Arghhhhhhhhh! You just HAD to bring that Stevie Wonder song up! Egads.  Yeah, that one will make you want to stick your head in a wine press.  As a big band fan, anything done by the "mickey mouse" bands generates nausea in me ("mickey mouse" was a term generally used to describe the awesome sounds of bands such as Guy Lombardo, Sammy Kaye and Lawrence Welk and people of their ilk---blech!!!!!!!).

Curiously enough, Louis Armstrong always cited Guy Lombardo as having one of the most swinging bands of all--only a musical genius could make a statement like that and not have it questioned to closely....

I had probs with composers that compromised their musicianship for the $$$$$ bull$#%... Ebony and Ivory cost McCartney alot of respect  (in my opinion of course) which brings the bigger problem,  since he went commercial pop (lowering standards), he GAINED alot more respect in general  :(

I'm not talking about lyric content in this case.  That is just a tacky bubble-gum sounding composition.  Two names get together for a large sum of money...

I better stop,  I'm never going to get any rest today.  This just goes ON and ON..

I try to be accepting of many things,  yet even as a younger teen, I never liked Iron Butterfly, most of Sabbath, etc.  I thought alot back in those days was loud noise too... So when I hear loud noise today, I can also admit to acknowledging it when I was a kid too.

I better crash,  later Micheal..  I have a 65% semi-informative content stat to uphold.  I'm getting to a point where I risk seriously blowing this.
