Take this post for example.  Do I have anything to say ?  OF COURSE NOT.

Oh, that's just perfect:  :biggrinthumb: Hope I can live up to that standard of performance on these forums.  LMAO

I notice your avatar there. Did I tell you about the time I submitted a dual identity at karaoke as your namesake there 'Alfred E. Neuman'? I think I even gave the KJ an extra $5 to get me up. "Okay, let's get Alfred Neuman up there...Alfred?" I was on stage and everything and then he realized 'Hey, you just sang!'. So, I kind of got thrown off stage. They were talking about kicking me out of the club but I was already down the road getting some Tacos at Jack in the Box by then. They were very upset that they didn't get to throw me out. I just ate my tacos peacefully in the parking lot. Then a friend went in and actually got my $5 tip back. LOL! Another random night.

I integrated my insanity into the ending monologue in the movie Psycho.

the theme being.  "People out've our minds"   LMAO

Yeah, I got that one. Saw The Vanishing movie too - but it's been years. At the time seems it had some interesting suspense.

That's a sensuous love ballad as I recall !  I can't recall one in particular taking credit for the composition

I think once the balance is met for a lot of people they decide to stay no matter how much they have to endure.

Yeah,  We have ALOT of freedom in here.  It's up to we members to make this site work. It's also easy to treat others decently IMHO.

OK,  I think I just botched up that sentence

We members ?    We the members ?  It's up to us ? Grrr   I don't know the correct phrasing anymore :(

I doubt that it's really so important.

I had a big problem about a year ago where I had to type everything into MSWord before I posted it to a thread. Word is not infallible, of course. It was necessary just to make sure that my spelling and grammar weren't so bad that the content was lost.

A lot of those skills returned over time, but not all. :D

Though, it does help.

I can always open another program to check my spelling. This one saves me the trouble.

My spellcheck keeps correcting terms using the same exact term and spelling.  It's really annoying.  Do we have to individually train spellcheck ?  I don't use MS Word, in fact I don't think I have any processing software on my system.  I don't use this system for writing comp.  I have no software on it for that purpose.  Not sure my XP program even has added anything to my system.  I used the work system for serious stuff..

I've been trying to train spellcheck but it won't listen.

I think slowly, almost surrepticiously, some of the "old" folks are coming back again.  I tried that other site for a while and talk about fluff!  The minute you submit something the "host" or "hostess" fluffs you right off the bat...oy vey.  They also seem more clannish and cliquish on that site than over here...nothing like one of your very best submissions getting three comments while somebody who sounds like dental floss singing "Mother Machree" gets more than can fit on one screen...I tend to think the better singers hang out here myself.

Agreed Michael,  there's a very high percentage of good singers among the numbers in here.

Very much so, and it's getting better all the time...one thing I think this site has that the other one lacks are performers doing all sorts of genres, from metal to show tunes and we have some of the very best doing these wonderfully diverse things here.

Probably based on the enormity of this sites membership base.  People get Miff'd, leave, take the break they need, but usually at one point come back.  Last year IMHO was a tougher year in here too.  I think the group in general now is warmer and more accepting of differences (not just in music genre), but personality types as well.  There's more tolerance.  This really has the potential to be a huge place. I guess according to many it is.  However few sites I've dropped in on, are nearly as large... This site can get many that left back  (maybe I should post more?) LOL

Oh no,  I'm starting to sound like Bigdog
