For the most part I agree, but it depends on if the local bar owners are tightwads, whether they can tell quality when they hear it, and whether they make plenty of money selling alcohol to tone-deaf drunks.

Bar owners can hear the chimes of the cash register.   But they can't tell good karaoke.
