I only meant... how to say this without repeating myself again and again?
I understand the problem with these bash-attacks in the showcase. They have went on forever, and I'm certain always will. All I'm saying is...... they are being kept alive by everyone involved. If people STOP responding to them, they WILL go away. Nobody will continue if they are simply ignored. If something is too bad, take the sub down. Heck, if it were me, I'd leave it up intentionally... just so people could see what the basher was up to. What is Phil to do? Ban this person? Then he'd surely have to ban everyone who bashed him back as well. Or whoever bashed someone else. Phil stated he does try to keep up with the comments to keep them clean..... but can you imagine how many daily comments that is? It makes my head real just thinking of it. And, again, it wouldn't probably end instantly... but it WILL fade out if everyone ignores it. It always has.
It would be nice, if we could simply get the option of the little red box in the corner of each comment- and could delete any that we wanted to. But, mark my words, the next thing we would have would be people bellowing that we were "all deleting the critique comments and leaving the fluff ones"..... It's just an endless cycle. Somebody will always find something to complain about.
I have often had comments I didn't want, not because of bashing, but because men have said certain things (that I prefer to keep in the forums.... not on subs) that can be taken as over the line flirting. And that's my own fault, how are they to know I have 2 different personalities between the forums and the showcase? I have removed subs just because of that. I mean, my MOTHER listens to me sing here sometimes (not to mention my hubby at times, and my kids, and my sisters, and my brothers) . :shock: Heaven forbid my mom ever crosses the line into the forums... she'd whup my butt... 38 years old or not, she'd whup my butt for my playing around in here.
Anyhow, I am not gonna leave it to Phil to keep these types of comments out of my subs. I can leave them, delete the sub, ask that person to stop, whatever.... but it's only under my control.
Maybe Phil can work on something to where we can control our received comments somewhat... maybe he wont. But I'm sure that's not ALL he's got on his plate.
As others have said, it's nice we have the amount of freedom here that we do have. If they were very strict...... I'm thinking I myself would have gotten the boot out of these forums LONG ago.
Anyways, I didn't mean to offend anyone by stating my personal opinion. But, I wont back down from my personal opinion just cause others don't agree. I stand by everything I said.
Now I'm done in here, heck there's another thread all about ME... haha... and gosh knows, I love attention, so I'm gonna go play there until that thread gets yanked down.

Point is, if everyone ganged up every time something like this happened, we'd be WORSE than the middle east in there. This stuff would never stop. Somebody has got to take the first step in ending it. It's like an LA gang war... the more one side retaliates, the more the other side is gonna feel the need to, and on and on. And as for my comment about Phil- He is NOT here to be our babysitter, people assuming he IS has finally made him come in here to speak out. He can't handle all these little squabbles for us, that's not his job. And I'm sure he doesn't want or need the drama anyhow. I think we are ALL old enough- and should be mature enough- to resolve this on our own..... and to..... BEHAVE. Phil may add some "new rules" or "options" in the future, but he's not here to solve personal issues that should never have escalated like this to begin with. Good god, think of all the outsiders who never post or sub either here or in SS... but come here EVERY DAY to listen to songs.... I'm sure half of them have deserted this site already, most likely rolling their eyes at us. But now, what's been said has been said, what's been done has been done- people have shown their loyalty... and everyone can see where everyone stands. So... it needs to end. I know it can seem serious Rita... I've been slammed on subs before, more than once, and once I even slammed back. (shame on me.. but I did) And it did hurt my feelings a bit, nobody who sings likes to be told they sound like shyt.... but that was 2 years ago, and I'm still here singing. It all was washed under the bridge, and I'm even civil with this person now, cause we got past it. I did not allow friends to bash that person back, I did not hold a vendetta against them, I did not PM Phil to make them stop.... I handled it, and it went away. I do not dislike ANYONE who is involved in this, I'm not gonna stop listening to any of them (though... he he... maybe they'll do that to ME next after this)... I just wish it would end. Cause it's certainly NOT gaining anybody anything. It's wasting time that could be spent subbing and listening. The points have all been proven... so let it rest. . Charmin, I was wondering what happened to Verne, can you PM the details to me......I've been married 32 years, so you know I must be good at keeping secrets........and no matter what Chuck thinks.....you look, and smell wonderful..  ....johnny

Thank you Charmin...I am going to make one post here and may it only be one By the time I have read all these posts I could have read War & Peace twice...Anyway, I have friends that I have known know for over a year on opposite sides of thought and I have heard it all, in all shapes and forms... I have glued myself to this like the OJ Simpson trial and 911... which makes me think... if we were to know that terrorists were going send a massive bomb our way in 2 days , how important does it make any of what's going on? Cause you know what? Nobody wins.. just alot of wasted energy leading to cancer cells enlarging and other illnesses, yes all it is is STRESS...
When I had my share of public attacks here since I first came, I took care of it MYSELF. No friends offered assistance and I didn't ask.. and you know why? Cause the last thing I wanted to do was bring down this site with my promlems because the more people involved, the more complicated it gets.....we are trying to get away from the STRESS offline and come here to share what we commonly adore..MUSIC and yes as I have said before, wherever there are people there are going to be diverse opinions and more seriously miscommunication...
I am PLEADING with you please come to your senses and go eat some chocolate for heaven's sake

Bruce the only thing I apologized for was the fact that I went to your sub and wrote a nasty comment, and I truly mean it. I just can't imagine being so filled with hate or animosity as to keep up these attacks - it just floors me. You have a very slanted view of this and I know nothing anyone says will change your mind - I'm not even trying. Yes, I apologize for my actions on your sub, but you do appear very bitter - it permeates your every word. None of my business however, I'm just glad I can let things go. My only hope is that someday you'll learn how to forgive and just let this all go.
