Yeah I agree it's a good idea Odie... just not sure if it would get any action. I dunno, it seems to me that a lot of stuff on here gets ignored when it requires attention. I already emailed them with a copy paste of the comment made on powertosspeople's sub, I would think that some action should have been taken considering it's not his first offense... it's an ongoing thing that all of us are sick of. A petition might make a difference, but then again it might just get ignored.

Well, if a lot of people can unify by showing their support in a single petition document, we may very well get somewhere! It sure can't hurt and it will probably do more good then the continued arguing that's been going on. The arguing is justified though that's for sure. IMO - Don

Well. well. well. It seems like everyone has been having a good old time bashing me for picking on little Marky. Kind of funny how all of you women call him that; as if he's just a little boy. He certainly behaves like one and I guess he needs his mommies to defend him. I've been enjoying this site for quite some time and have heard many songs by  many singers that were less than stellar and I never left a negative comment. I can't believe that I'm the only person that has Marky sing and thought it sounded like Kermit the frog. I kept that opinion to myself for the longest time because I didn't want to hurt the poor guys feelings. Then about a month ago he attacked Angie in a way that bothered me. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, if you know what I mean. If he wanted to be rude and pompous to people, I was going to give him a taste of his own medicine. If all of female puppies would have stayed out of it, I wouldn't be commenting about Marky in their subs comment section. If you are going to say something negative about me, don't expect me to just say okay and act as if it didn't happen. I respond to every negative comment that is thrown in my direction. Marky should have made an apology on PAGE ONE to Angie so everyone could have seen that he saw the error of his ways. Then I would have dropped it. Instead, he had his groupies come out of the woodwork to attack me and call me all sorts of names in defense of their hero. All of these "ladies" are doing to me exactly what I did to Marky but they are good and I am bad. Go Figure.  LMAO A few people see marky for what he is and have the courage to type it out loud even though they know that Marky's Mommies will now give them a hard time too. Marky is their little baby boy who teaches them how to record and he sends them backings for songs that they don't want to go out and pay for, Heaven Forbid! Then they all try to get everyone to protest me for defending Angie.  One person bashes Marky  for berating someone and there is an uproar off offended people. A dozen people attack me and all is well with the world. I guess Angie wasn't worth defending in the eyes of the CLIQUE. When the protest movement doesn't get enough steam behind it, the originator of it cries the blues and says he/she or it is leaving the site.  LOL I have been called all sorts of names by all sorts of people but I have taken it like a MAN. I haven't run to PHIL to protect me from the mean old bitties and I haven't asked anyone to come to my defense by subbing songs with no comments allowed. I'll never understand the point behind that one. If you are all going to talk about me behind my back , expect me to find a way to respond. If you want to call that stalking, go right ahead but I will defend myself at every turn. Mark should have made his apology to ANGIE just as BIG as his attack on her. It should have been put right out there on PAGE ONE for all to see, and instead of adding the artists name to the title line, he could have put "I'M SORRY FAILE FOR BEING A JERK" THAT WOULD HAVE PUT AN END TO ALL OF THIS.  Every time I read another post attacking me, of course I will respond with an attack of my own so if you ladies want it to stop, I suggest you all apologize to me right now.  LOL  :oh yeah:  :hi5:  :handshake:  :dancin:  :D  :)  :need hug:  :shock:

Sorry, but that's just the way I feel about all of this.

But to come in here forming little groups, and choosing sides, is just not my cup of tea..... I stay out of it. I have no personal beef with either side, and am just hoping that this can end.... and everyone will start getting along again.

I partly agree with Nathan and Cindy, and that's what made me finally post in here. I don't mean any disrespect to anyone who subs or comments in SS.... but people have got to realize that not EVERYBODY is going to always like EVERY sub you put up. And, not everyone is always going to like your voice either. That's life. For every famous singer on the radio who went down in history as one of the "all time greats".. there are people out there who don't like their singing. Get over it. Sing for the ones who DO like your voice and like to listen to you. Ignore the rest, if there is really nothing to gain by what they say.

It's gotten a bit carried away in there. While I appreciate people trying to stand behind a friend- I always do the same, IF I feel the friend is in the right- this breaking off in groups no matter WHO is right or wrong, is just such a merry-go-round of shyt flinging, it's really absurd.  Again, no disrespect meant.... I for one love Mark's singing... and consider him a friend. He knows that.

What REALLY ticks me off though:

Is when you have members of the forums, who have never subbed a song and in no way participate in the showcase, delegating WHAT and HOW we need to do things over there. "This needs to happen".... "That needs to happen".... "There should be no *C* category".... "Everyone should sub *L* only"...... "Everybody lies to everybody".... "Those poor bad singers believe what they're hearing in comments".... Put your money where your mouth is. Until you've proven that you know what you're talking about, quit being so dayum condescending of everyone who subs.  Talk is cheap. I could go to a gazillion websites and copy and paste gibberish here and assume a bunch of false know-how and make it look like I reallllyyyyy know alot about music. And, if not for the fact that most here have heard me sing (and mess up at times)  :oops: , I could be mistaken for a MRS. Know-it-all. But I'm not typically a liar by nature, and I don't need a bunch of followers to feed my ego.

But if you're going to sit in judgement of everyone who does sub, and try to get a bunch of drama going about what Phil & the Mods need to make happen, and how most over there are liars & don't have the talent to form a spitwad.... then sub something yourself. If you're so worried about "fluff"..... sub "Listen Only" and use a thread here for your "real critique".   By all means, join us... or leave SS to the people who actually participate in it.  I mean, who in hell made you God of all that's holy on this site?  Especially since we have NO tangible evidence that you have any form of musical talent at all.

And I reallllyyyy don't care who I pi$$ed off. My life will still go on...

Good idea. I will sit in the dark and drool when certain members get ravonous. Not a crush, not in love, just enjoy some odd things sometimes.

The mods have a lot to do so I don't want this to be taken too seriously, it is more of a wish than anything. I wish that I could be notified when someone comments on my sub so I can remember to answer their comment. Maybe ginkgo will work just as well.

What the HELL do I have to do to be taken serious for once?

I'm mostly a lurker these days, but if my vote carried any weight, I would say this to all involved;
Let it go, erase this incident, that should have never snowballed into this behavior, that is totally not what this site is all about. Life is too short, and these kind of feelings can lead to it being even shorter..........let's give everyone the benefit of the doubt, put this behind us, and start out fresh.........I vote this posting be ended

I agree Johnny, it needs to just be dropped. This is a heck of a fun place to be, and it's a big enough place to have room for all of us. Spats will naturally come & go, but there's no need to let them escalate to this level. It's all a matter of pride. (I would know, cause I have issues with that myself) In situations like this, somebody has to be the first to say sorry... even if it means eating a little crow. Crow only tastes bad for a second, it goes down easy after that first bite....  

People tend to forget the "golden rule" much too often.

I was thinking a reality tv show.....

I agree I think it needs to just stop. After a day of being pretty upset, I've calmed down a lot, and am just going to let it all go, but am still going to step away for awhile - I'm saying a week but it will more likely be a few days .

If anyone looks at my newest sub's description it echoes exactly that sentiment, move on and enjoy the music... and Charmin if you take your clothes off, they'll listen to you, I guarantee it!  LOL

We all should be more reasonable about what is going on in SS. I have not been around often enough to listen to songs there and have not sub a song for a few months, so I do not see the whole picture. But from the post here and reading some of the comments over at SS, there are some misunderstanding. That, we all must try to resolve for the good of this site. Granted, that we all want to have fun but not at the expanse of others members of the site.

We all come from different background and the only unifying factor that bring us all here is singing. Do we want to let our singing break us all up? That kind of defeat the sole aim of us being here; fun.

Some of us are very good singers some not so good. But most of us are VERY SENISTIVE on even the slightest smell of negativity about our singing. we need to remind our self about the feeling of others, try being less hurtful by being more helpful.

For the time being, it will help if all of us cool down a bit; try not to shoot from the hip, smile and have fun.
