Vernor's ginger ale is one of the stoutest I've ever known. It tastes great with any icecream in it, especially one of quality.

Oh. I would prefer some A+W Root Beer or Hires Root Beer with that Ice Cream then!  That would be just peachy!  :need hug:

I recomend giving it a try sometime. It's harder to get down here. My cousins drink a lot of it though.

In everything, there are those that work to undermine or destroy it. The trick is to just ignor them. Eventually, they WILL go away as they are not getting anywhere. It really does work. BUT, everyone has to ignor them or it will NOT work, as then, they are getting what they want. Sad, but that's what life is for some.

I'de hate to see anyone NOT post a song due to this, as it's really cool hearing the diffrent singers. Good or bad... If there were no BAD singers, how would we know what is good. And sometimes, I prefer some of the bad singers, as many of them just sing to have fun, and that makes it fun to listen to.

Seem like a competition is forming as to what side you are on. KS or SS, and on what sub-side you are on within that group. I like both parts of this site, and would miss either one. ANd, would miss some of the people I have met in both. Hopefully this blows over, but not likely. In that case, I hope a solution is found. So far, this has been a great site with some really cool people..

Exactly.... and instead of promoting "unity" it is doing the opposite. The best thing would be to let it all die down, instead you know that word I used loosly earlier "Gangs" well.... its becoming that...

and what just totally torked me now is the fact that the SAME people complaining about other people going into other people's subs and ripping into them about stuff OTHER than the music are doing it to someone now too. One of the songs I commented on yesterday.. I was the 3rd comment... EVERY COMMENT after mine is ripping into this person about things that were done either DAYS or WEEKS ago.. from some of the same people complaining that they went into someone's sub and ripped that person instead of talked about the music.

I was raised with the idea of treat people how you want to be treated not how you ARE treated... but if you get attacked like that from a POSSE of people when you maybe said something originally to ONE person well duh.. of course there will more than likely be retaliation.

Unity is what is wanted here? then act like it... if you don't want others attacking others.. then stop attacking period.. whether its one person or 50.  the same people wanting "peace" are pushing anger in other directions. Seems a bit hypocritical if you ask me.

Ummmm Foxe? That stuff that was done "weeks" ago, was done again last night on a beautiful presentation that was requested by someone...he just couldn't keep his ugliness to himself....and this person you are talking about is way way way out of line. He hurt and upset several people last night with his idiotic behavior. He has not only gone to one person's subs and repeatedly bashed him about things NOT pertaining to his songs as well as making fun of his singing, he has also gone to mine and a few others and continued to bash this person over something that was resolved weeks ago. The person who is doing this pushed me way past my tolerance level to the point where I went against my own principles and slammed him on his sub....and ohhhhhhhhhhhhh he so deserved it!! If he'd quit the ongoing moronic, childish behavior this would all stop. He is the one who won't let things go, and none of it belongs in the comments. He is the one stirring up the crap and keeping it alive, and based on what I've seen, he loves every minute of it - this is a thrill to him...sad really. It takes an awful lot to tick me off, but he has done it in leaps and bounds. As far as unity goes? When someone is that hateful and nasty, its time to put a stop to it and thats what unity is about....we've had enough. I don't care what happens behind the scenes - quite frankly its none of my business, but what IS my business, is having to read that drivel the one you are defending keeps putting on MY friend's subs. I'm sick of it as is most every one else.

I am just gonna say a few simple words on this. "This person" as you call him is your friend, so that makes you biased. People on SS have a right to be defensive when someone defaces a dedication because of a grudge. The "damsel in distress" that Brucefan4life is out to protect has long since dropped it. There was an apology and acceptance. You need to tell HIM to drop it because his actions last night (not days or weeks ago) upset a lot of people. I saw who commented on that sub in return, I was one of them. You are lumping a lot of good people into the gang category... you might want to choose your words more carefully. If you want to call me part of a gang for telling someone he shouldn't do something, go ahead. I have this thing about standing up for what I believe in, and that's not going to change. EDIT: I've seen the nasty comments made on subs, including Drea's. He even visited mine. I really don't get how anyone can defend that

That's a great idea Steven. Or to take it further, maybe you could block certain individuals from doing a critique. yes, I am serious. There are a few peeps in here that have taken their critiques to the nth level and your suggestion is a good one. Very nice.

Drea, Report him. Did you not do that? The comments section of people's singing is no place for a tirade. Get him thrown out or talked to. Those comments stay there and who would want to read that everytime you look at your music?   If he's trying to get someone else to stop doing the same thing then yikes....give him a PM and settle him down some.  I've had a few of those and it helps me!

Actually I did report him after he came to my sub and did his bashing...however nothing was done. Others have too, but he continues on his merry way doing as he pleases. This time I just said whats on my mind...it won't change a thing as I can see he thrives on this kind of stuff. But I'm done with it - I said what I had to say, but thanks Jeff.

I'm sure admin wants to see if things blow over on their own. Anywhere people get into forums they will argue. But he can probably remove the comments from the box and that needs to be done from what it sounds like.  Ask for removal of the comments which do not even pertain to the music. That should be a no brainer.

yes.. he's my friend and I will admit that readily... so are many on the other side of the issue..you and I are friends.. I consider Drea a friend too thru comments we've exchanged.. it has nothing to do with anything.. I'm not responsible for what he, she, or they all say..  

what bothers me is.. seeing people say they are tired of people attacking other people in subs and that there's place for it.. which I agree.. if there's a problem take it behind the scenes and deal with it..

but... the same people that say there should be no attacking publicly are also attacking publicly in retaliation..  so .. how does it make them any different? that's what I mean about hypocritical.. and I really don't care who the players are in this.. saying one thing and doing another.. is plain and simple hypocritical.. doesn't depend on reasons for doing so..

what will it solve? will it make it better? no.. every side will just become more determined..

and as far as me being biased Lisa.. I've had my own experiences.. and I'm perfectly capable of making up my own mind.. I see my friends for who they are and it doesn't necessarily mean that I agree with all of their beliefs or their actions but doesn't mean I wouldn't call them friends.  I have my beliefs and they have theirs.. I'm responsible for MY actions.. they are responsible for theirs.. I'm friends with a lot of people that don't care for each other.. but it has nothing to do with me.. if someone can't be my friend because of who my friends are... well then what kind of friend were they to me anyways.. that'd be like someone saying to me.. I can only love you if you don't love dogs because I don't like dogs..

What I said up there had nothing to do with WHO the person was.. I'd feel the same if its being done to you, Cantstopsinging, or Jeffie who I don't even know or EchoKaraoke who I don't know either..

I don't know what everyone else's "tone" is when they post here.. but this is my tone.. I'm not speaking out of anger..  not at all.. I was only trying to be a voice of reason.. so take it or leave it.. doesn't matter.. if I'm the next on the attack list.. well then I guess so be it.. I've always tried to get people to get along and not fight - that's one of my most annoying qualities if you ask some of my friends.. I'd rather talk out things than scream and shout.. or just walk away.. but talk it out in a calm manner..

My feeling is that we need moderators on SS.... at least 2 or 3, maybe 4. It IS a forum and needs to be watched just like this one. I would be willing to volunteer to do it for free, since I have more time on my hands than I know what to do with most days. If there were mods over there, this wouldn't even have had a chance to escalate this far, Bruce would be long since banned.  :yes:

That was all I had asked for - to have the comment removed - but nothing was done, however several of this moron's comments have been removed from other's subs. It would be nice if he'd just grow up and keep his pettiness out of the comments. I can see having issues with people, but either stay away from them, or work it out in private. I will be taking my own advice and stay away from him from here on out.

I don't know the whole story. I saw some of the comments last night. If they were in response to someone else doing something similar I would say fix it and give him a warning. I wouldn't think a ban would have to be in place or permanent, Lisa, but as I said maybe I didn't see all the comments.

Moderators are good but I used to get kicked playing unreal all the time and that was always unjust. One of the mods was a player from another clan and he just plain didn't like me so someone would say I spawnkilled them and I would say "what?" and then I would get booted for 2 hours. (Which sucked because I was always the one getting spawnkilled)  It was a horrible tragedy -LOOK sarcasm!

Yeah I have said my piece now too... I was done with it til he defaced the dedication and upset several people (again). I'm sorry but when something like that happens I can't just sit idle. He is the ONLY one actually running around making unsolicited nasty comments... any he has incurred came from things he said and did. What's really sad is I enjoy listening to him, but when I saw how upset he makes people I can't make myself listen anymore. I wish he would just drop the whole thing.

I too am friends with people who don't like each other - it has nothing to do with my friendship with them. I just wanted to present what I have seen. Yes I did go and bash him on his sub, but thats what he seems to like. I know for a fact, the after he bashes the person in question, he checks back to see what kind of reactions he's getting. If he didn't, he never would have come to my sub to continue his bashing tirade. I know he is the only one responsible for his actions, and I use the term loosely, as he has shown no responsibility what-so-ever. I have also never before bashed anyone on a sub, but after last night I had enough. That little boy needs to grow up, but only he can do it.

you play Unreal eh? My brother in law plays it too. Not saying that one or 2 mods is a good idea. We would have to have groundrules....aka no banning before consulting with other mods. I dunno it's just a thought.

Very well said Lisa - I too was done and ready to let it lie, till he started up again last night...well enough is enough. I can't just sit there and let this person continually wreak havoc. Its not fair to anyone to have to watch his antics.
