I have to admit I was shocked to here such termoil in SS. Everytime
I've subbed people have been so supportive and nice.

The complaint I usually heard was people were to nice with their comments and weren't critiquing with validity. You guys sound like you have 2 extremes over there.
The really nice people and the a-h0les.  LMAO

Hope I'm in that "really nice' category!  LOL
I think I had rather come across like that.

Of course - you are one of the sweetest. Your avatar makes you look
like an angel. How could a face like that be anything, but nice.

The only two songs I subbed to SS were very well received. The people were incredibly supportive. It made me feel like I was home.

I'm almost ready to see the not so nice people. I just have to get used to remembering my meditation techniques.

YOU need a whuppin'. There's no reason you should not be subbing. I should dig through all my old, OLD, SS cd's of songs I downloaded and find a song of you, and just post it myself.   Cause I know I copied some of yours.

I am working on my nephews band next album at the moment. They need to release it before Xmas.  I will sub a song from one of the track; that I promise.

Actually awakens, there was a bunch of discussions about the "mystery" of vibrato in that thread, but feel free to open a new topic on it.  I notice in SS there are many people with great voices who  apparently do not have one (or opt not to use it).  It is handy to have and I use it a lot in my doo woop things.

Thank you Michael and Jian for your support

Wouldn't have had he courage to post a thread without both of you.

might consider asking Phil or whoever is programming software to add a comment restriction much like PMs have.  In otherwords -- if you don't want a particular persons comments -- they will no longer be able to add any to your subs -- might work to cut down on all the problems

Awakens2music - great idea!

thanks Babs :dancin:

I've seen some good ones in some other threads too -- I'm sure Phil and his staff will get all the feedback they can and come up with the best solution for all

Hey, I would never raise that maul "against" a singer, heck no, it would be to "defend" the singers. Cause I hate this sniping crap.  And, I reallllyyyy can't carry a splitting maul in there anyhow girl, this is the internet. (It's not allowed, most popup blockers squash splitting mauls)

SS site about SINGING again.

You know, that's one of the best things that I've read here. I say *ignore* these people who do that. They usually just want attention anyhow, so why give it to them? I know sometimes it's hard, I do recall getting bashed a time or two when I was recently new here... but I turned a deaf ear to it, and they backed off. I would still welcome any and all critiques, gosh knows I could use LOTS of pointers. But you can't ask for it, without getting a number attached, and I swore long ago not to do the numbers game again. (2 year old swear, and I've held to it too...) But, I think I could pick through the real critiques and the snipes, and get something good from it.  It's easier just to laugh- and feel sorry for- people who do that kind of thing.

LOL I knew what you meant Charmin -- guess the brain didn't get all of the message to my fingers before I had to fly out again -- musta been one of them Dayem daytime posts where I can only stay in for a few minutes

Tonight I'm taking a little time to catch up on everything I missed -- and making sure I answer everything that catches my eye -- If i missed one I should have answered -- please forgive me -- I'm still in training :asleep:

So Bigdog is just a little ankle biter? Ha Ha!

There's always a little bickering in here on a daily basis. I gotta admit it got to me a while back so that I haven't been coming in. It also got boring to read the same posts from the same people. There's lots of cool people in here but ......it goes from red hot to snooze city fairly quick. It's hard to stay excited in a karaoke forum.  It's not what you would call the deepest subject (although it gets deep sometimes)

A subject is only as deep as the depth of an individual's interest. While Karaoke isn't that interesting to me, musicians, and music is quite a deep subject to those of us whose lives have always revolved around a musical setting. If singing related issues, music, and music related aspects aren't a big area of a persons life, I agree.. This can be quite limited in terms of how fulfilling an individual finds it

Thanks Jian! I'm off for the next three days so I'm sure I'll get caught up a little bit on some of the writing.  I've been pretty busy for a while with different things but I need some time to relax so maybe this can be a part of it this weekend. See ya!  :)

“Watt” are you guys talking about? – I just had to throw that in.

I find myself making a choice between SS and KS only as a matter of time. I was drawn to the site for the singing and thought it a very nice to have a back and forth comment feature on each song. I do most of my listening at work and it’s easy to listen and work at the same time. I make a quick comment and on to the next song.

Forums are very different. I like the comments you all leave and I get a kick out of them but it’s lots and lots of reading! I may have two eyes but I can’t read two things at the same time and my job is all reading!!! So, I’ll leave an occasional comment in the forum to let you know I was there but it’s very hard for me to follow up.

Well, time to listen to some tunes……..
