Now since this is all new to me, I can walk into a stor and "Ask" what should I buy. But We All Know How That Goes.....Can someone please tell me what "Starter" Pakage I should really buy, so I can get My Groove On ??.............Please.... Thank you all for your time re; this matter.

A mic and a recording software is all you need for a start.

those songs are probably best done by pocket songs.
Usually I wouldn't reckomend Pockets songs but they do a great job on their big band and broadway stuff.

This baby seem good if you just want to record in your pc. It has built in preamp and use the usb rather than the soundcard.

Thank you for taking the time to point out the correct mic to me. I'd really hate to have to go through that "learning Process" the long way around.

Wow thanks for the links Jian, I can't believe it's free. I am reviewing all. If you don't mind, can you please tell me how to hook up a mic to my PC?? If you do not have the time to explain, its okay. Im gonna have to go to Guitar Center to get the mic there so I can ask one of them. But I appreciate it. Im sorry for being such a Newbie. Once again many thanks!!! OOOpss, now that I think about it, you mentioned tutortial, so I better check that out, thanks.

Your mic will have a 1/4" jack and you will need an adopter that will have a 1/8" plug, like this:
http://www.radioshack.com/search/index. ... Id=2032058
With that you will be plug it to the 'mic in' of your sound card. The hole have a picture of the mic so you will not miss it.
And buy a pair of hand phone while you are at GC, You will need it to listen to the backing track while you sing and record your vox. You will not get a good result if you listen to the backing from the speaker when you are recording. What happen is the backing music will bleed to your mic.
