Karaoke Forums

I'm not really into Karaoke but I work in I.T. (I'm a developer) and have a number of clients who either retail or provide karaoke services of some sort.....

Anyway the reason I'm here is I've been researching CDG development on the net and had little success and the developer communities I'm involved in often don't know about CDG. So then I thought maybe someone on a karaoke forum would know the in's and out's of CDG ripping and creation. It's a bit of a long shot and the only advice so far is stuff I've already seen (or very similar).

your signature isn't working because you have to BUY a signature at the "shop" when you get enough points.  like my avatar, I had to buy it at the shop when I got enough points.  It's kinda like a badge; the more points you get, the more bling you have....As far a figuring out CDG stuff I can't help you but I have an email of someone who might be able to help you.  takabin@ma.kcom.ne.jp  he made a freeware version CDG player a couple years ago...seems to know what is up.  not sure, but you could try him

Fair enough, I couldn't find anything in the FAQ on this though.
Most forums it says something like you have to be a member for X days with Y posts and a reputation of Z.

I'll give that email a go. I did email someone some time back about this following reading an article by them but I don't think I got anything back. I know he was involved in a freeware player some how so possibly the same guy as I can't imagine there are that many people doing it.

the Karafun freeware is very good, and since it is newer, you could go to the karafun site and ask them for help.  plus the fact that it seems to work really well gives a clue that those people know a thing or two.

It could be a bit tricky commercially but I'll give it a whirl.

Have you tried the Tech forum? The search on this site isn't the best.
If you describe what you did here to them I'm sure you'll get a lot of feedback.
