  :D Hi everyone. I sure hope someone can help me. I do alot of recording & subbing on the Showcase, & have been running into difficulties recording a vocal track without the music. When recording & doing duets, either my partner sings with the music included then I add my vocals while playing their track or vice versa. Now the snag I have run into now is that I have a new partner who wants a vocal only track from me. I tried this and managed a recording that sounded nothing like it was suppose to. The track had unusual fading in & out with every phrase so the levels were quite uneven. I spoke to the compute person at the store where I purchased the computer. He said that maybe it was a setting in my adobe. Now I changed some settings under options as suggested by someone else that records & sings on SS. This didn't work. Then I tried switching to a different mic. That also didn't work. My sound card was part of a huge graphics card & has between 24 & 32 bits, all by itself, & is only 3 months old. Any ideas. I would appreciate the assistance. Cindy

are you using the multitrack window or the single edit window to record?

 Hi Morgan. This problem occurs on both. Although I normally record on the regular track, I have tried the multitrack & the same thing happens.   Cindy
