Another thread on line dances reminded me of something we used to do at the VFW once in awhile. For fund raising we would do a cakewalk every rotation. It turned into a popular event and sometimes really gets the crowd goin'

 So what music does everybody play for their cakewalks? It has to be peppy high beat and full of energy.... You can actually have 2 or more winners (stops) in each set and I try to change genres for each stop...

I love cakewalks...... haha.

At my grade school carnival, they always had one. Then, my kids went to that same grade school, and they STILL have one at every carnival. (small town, lll)

The tickets I used to waste walking that circle on the floor, just so I could try to win a cake to take home to mom.  :no:
