More info about original discs.    I have all of my originals in the house, in a big dresser.   I pulled out a DK disc to hear a song.  Upon examination of the disc, I noticed a small crack starting from the center hole.   :O   I played the song and when I went to put the disc back, I looked at it again and there was a new crack 1/4 away from the old one and it was longer.

I made a new master from the cracked one, before it's gone forever.

Do what you want, but for me, I'm keeping all of my masters safe.   And I see now,  they still won't be 100% guaranteed safe, as they were when I stored them.

Every new disc gets the same treatment.    Out of the package.  In to the burner.   Back in the package.   Into the dresser.    I listen to and play only the copies.

I use the disc books.  Filled with my copies, of the originals.    I still have to trim the tops of those sleeves off.     You have the slot to slide the disc in, but most of those companies leave part of the plastic at the top of the slot.   If you don't cut that off, the top of the disc will get scratched from laying and rubbing on the plastic.
