Thanks Michael,  I'm doing OK.... It's dropped into the 80's so I'll be able to start my walking again and burn off steam that way !   I try to get up to 3 3-mile loops a day, get in about 9-10 miles brisk walking daily,  healthiest way I can burn off stuff..
Yet the past few 90+ very muggy days made that impossible for me.

Something I have to do Chuck.  I'm not one to take a tranq,  if I can walk it off... or burn it off exercizing.  It takes ALOT to burn it off too, so I do what it takes... Worst thing that can happen is a add a few years to my life.... and get somewhat of a cardio workout, get freshair too.... Also give the eye's a break from the computer monitor...

Exercise, even a walk works wonderments Steve...as for me, I've remained secluded here in the sanctum sanctorium (I'm not sure if that was right, but it sounds way cool) enjoying the balmy temperatures of that central air conditioning system I'm so glad I put my foot down about installing a couple years ago, languorously dallying with what passes for work this week.  I actually could use a couple of tension fraught, angst-ridden days myself lately.  Geez, this is irritating me!

Oh great!  One of these days we're gonna hafta unfreeze Rod Serling, Walt Disney, Michael Jackson and Ted Williams' head.  

Chuck, your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to write an original "Twilight Zone" style composition using the above and the ensuing hilarity as your central theme.  12,000 words should suffice.

As usual, the Secretary, will disavow all knowledge of your existence.  Condi's just got too much else on her plate now anyway.

Wow, you're much more disciplined then me Steven!    You're actually doing what the doc says to do rather than just nod in agreement!     85 degrees is max for me.  You've got the humidity on top of it too.  I seriously doubt I could handle that at all.

I don't believe in popping pills if there's another healthier way to achieve even better results.  I do what I have to do.  Not because it's easy, because it's foolish not to do it..  I'm also NOT doing what the doc say's to do.. The doc's assume most are lazy, and put them on antihypertensives, and benzodiazepine tranqs, and many other meds because few even think of saying, workout til you're exhausted... If I need to take a medication, I will take it,  if there's a natural way to achieve results, I'd rather take 2 meds a day, as opposed to 5...

Oddly enough, I don't think Rod Serling started without any real interest in the genre he is most associated with, having been the author of such dramas as "Patterns" and "Requiem for  Heavyweight" and alas, I hate to tell you this, he just abhorred having to do "Night Gallery"--sorry Steve, just reporting the facts!

That's amazing Michael,  I thought that was his niche, horror, and suspense... I wasn't aware of that,  great to know.... This is news to me... I guess I should look him up, and get to know who he actually was....  I was young, and assumed horror was his forte'..  I assumed wrong.

I thought all the short episode's on night gallery were his compositions.

I think, if I remember correctly, he was excited about "Night Gallery" and was given creative reign the first season or so, but it soon became apparent the producers wanted him just for his "presence" since he was so strongly identifed with the "Twilight Zone", which for Serling was an altogether more rewarding experience. Offhand Steve, I think many of the stores on Night Gallery were adaptions of Robert Bloch, H.P. Lovecraft, Richard Matheson and others for the most part.

When I was a kid "The Outer Limits" always gave me the creeps; I think it was that stark black and white "European" style photography that gave the show it's look--didn't hurt that their "monster of the week" was usually pretty icky looking!

You are correct Michael,  He didn't actually write the stories. He was the show's host. The things you tend to misunderstand as a youngster, and go thru life believing as a result can be interesting..

Dear Blog,

    Another weekend night, and I've managed to stay off've KS.  At this rate I have a few choices,  I can tell people I'm a stud, or maybe even got a job, moved out've mom's basement and got my own place. Hmmm... Is life great or what ?

Doubt I'll ever be able to do that.... Will always take three of four increments, today was in the 90's,  probably only did 3 miles total     and that took two different walks
