The more I read "Big Dog" posts the more I'm convinced he's not a Karaoke KJ AT ALL. More an more he appears to be NOTHING MORE than a FLAMER that makes rediculous statements SIMPLY TO GET A REACTION and STIR THE POT. More I read the less I believe him.
**He wont let anyone know his venue.
**Wont post a photo of himself working(like Lonman, or Knightshow, or me or any other of the KJ fotos in the photo galleries or Avatars.
**Wont describe in detail waht kind of gear he uses, how many songs in his catalog or even what he sings.
**Doesnt post on SS
**Has no website
**Wont post the name of his Karaoke show/company
**Offers no proof to verify what he claims he is.
**And MOST DAMNING OF ALL...............he simply SOUNDS REDICULOUS when he speaks. NO REAL KJ WOULD SOUND REDICULOUS WHEN THEY SPEAK(or type)!!!
My conclusion: he isnt a KJ at all. Isnt working and probably got sent packing from whereever it was HE MAY HAVE been working if he even ever did.
Needless to say....................I'm NOT IMPRESSED!!
 :puke: :withstupid: LMAO LMAO LMAO

And furthermore............................with the name "BIG DOG" it would imply that he's large and DOMINATING!
But I really believe the OPPOSITE is more likely to be TRUE!!
He's small, sickly, suffering from SMALL-MAN's INSECURITY DISEASE, and MOST IMPORTANTLY:
HAS A REALLY SMALL SMALL STUBBY ONE!!!! LMAO LMAO LMAO LMAO
BIG DOG...........from me to you..........My SYMPATHY GOES OUT TO YOU!!
YOU HAVE MY PITY!!![highlight=red][/highlight][shadow=red][/shadow][glow=red][/glow]

Thanks Swing...I LMAO needed the laugh....
I have no web site for 2 reasons.
1. I don't know how to do it. I'm not a geek. I hire geeks, if i need one. I don't have the time to keep one updated. I have seen too many sites that are so far behind, they shouldn't even have them. I'm talking about Big business ones too. My closest competition has a web site. He doesn't work as much as me, because he's a jerk and nobody likes him. It's not doing him much good. Means absolutely nothing.
2. I have no reason to do it. So I can post pictures of myself? For what purpose. My vanity? Advertise for business I don't need. You need a web site, I don't. I'm sure there has to be a Swing site.
3. I have enough jerks that I'm trying to get rid of, I don't need you there.
4. If by SS you mean the Singers Showcase. For What my vanity? If I wanted to impress anyone, I'd be in L.A. I'm a very good singer, not the best.
5. Personal information that I want to broadcast all over creation, is not an option.
6. Yes, I'm a flamer, big boy. I run around all day, in my Daisy Dukes and paisley silk shirt and my flip flops. You're looking pretty good, by the way.
7. How many members on this site? And one person needs to prove to who? That they are really, who they say they are.? I'm bigdog, look at the avitar. That should be proof positive. In your eyes. That's the true test of validity.
8. I can indeed sing between 550-600 songs. I know of KJs that can't do 20. Or they need to be drunk before they sing. I can and do entertain everyone in attendance. I know of no entertainer that is ever hired to entertain only half of the crowd. Not a band, DJ, KJ, Magician, Clown, Juggler, Singer or anybody else is ever hired by a bar owner to only perform to his following and not care about anyone else in attendance. Totally bizzarre thinking.
9. The ridiculous (correct spelling) sounding Kjs are the ones that have pee pee systems, they think are fabulous and they are only there to worry about half of the paying crowd. You are again right, I am with stupid.
10 My intentions are to impress no one, I am what and who I am. I know how much I work. How much I spent and made. I know how long it took. Karaoke is my main (biggest) source of income. For 14 years it has been more productive than my real job (as far as more income). Not many on here, can make the same claim.
11. Stubby, yes it's worn out. You can still be massive and be a jerk, right?
12. Say and do as you wish. I know my direction. My posts are true and factual. Newbies, If you want to follow proven karaoke money making suggestions, come along. Soar with the Bigdog or scratch with the turkeys.

Was supposed to go out for dinner, he didn't feel weel lastnight and asked if they could go tonight instead. Within ten minutes of getting to work today, she had a phone call to get to the hospital quick and call family members, also call a priest/minister. He still wasn't feeling well this morning. But insisted she go to work, he would be fine. Guess she only was gone for a few minutes and on her 45 minute journey to work when he felt compelled to call 911. That isn't even the end of it. While I was on my way home from work, I got a call that another good friend was in a car accident. Nothing fatal. But I think I could top the list as to why I am on here tonight. I needed to just talk and listen to friends, to keep my mind off of things that right now I could not do on a phone. Brother lives out of state, girlfriend is at hospital, and friend is now home on something to kill the pain.
I am so sorry to hear of so much tradgedy in your life. I can't imagine losing a husband and having 2 small children at home. I wish the best for her and I hope your brother is okay.

Thanks to all of you who posted. It is helpful to know people really care about other people. All will work out. It just takes time, and the helping, caring friends that we have in life will get us through. I too lost a husband with two small children, think I wrote that in one of my post. So my heart really went out to this friend. As for my brother. I spoke to him today. He told me not to worry. He will pick up the pieces and start over. He too has a great many friends, and many have already helped.
Again, thanks!

I find it amusing, that so many on here are in good karaoke denial.
That know the real reason, for being hired by a bar owner in the first place.
That are so close minded to good proven tricks-of-the-trade and techniques.
Lack of sound business operating and building principals and skills.
Sceptical and jealous of others level of success and achievements.
Lack of interest in a quality reputation. Pride in a quality job. i.e. It's good enough for karaoke. Heard that on here before? Your business attitude isn't good enough for karaoke. Don't embarrass me. People with that attitude make it bad for everyone. If you're going to act like an anchor, cut the rope before you drag down the rest of the boat.
Unwillingness to honestly reexamine and reevaluate themselves.
Unwillingness to admit to themselves that maybe, there possibly could be some honest usable information. From someone of integrity, willing to give 14 years of experience to such ungrateful recipients.
There are only a handful of more experienced KJs on here. A smaller number that can claim, making as much income from karaoke. I'm not rich and that's not what I'm saying. But it would seem to me that if I wasn't where I thought I should be or could be, with whatever I have going on now, then I would be the first to examine every little thing I do, to see if there is a way to improve.
I know that I'm not the smartest kid on the block, some times I come off a little high strung. I have a real hatred for incompetence. I don't consider it a flaw. I know how things should be and anything less irks me. Especially, when it's so simple.
Ignoring the needs of the non singers, by assuming that they are insignificant in the whole karaoke equation, is one of these. People in a bar spend money, whether they sing or not. I still can't figure out why anyone would or could ignore this. The more total people in the bar, means more total income, for you and the bar owner. You can ask for more money, play longer, ask for extra money. A full bar can only help build your reputation. Keeping it full is your responsibility. Whether you think it is or not. Your job is entertainment. Not selective entertainment. Total entertainment of all present.
I know you won't believe this, but truth is stranger than fiction.
A young guy came up to me tonight and said he was sorry, he hasn't been around to karaoke for a while. He said he has been working and his schedule changed, so he has to get up early on Wednesdays and can't be at the Tuesday gig. He also said he likes to come to my karaoke, because I don't play songs in between the singers and I don't talk all night. I play the songs back-to-back and give the mikes to everyone, so they can be ready. He likes that. He gets to sing more. And he sings good. I know,..... he's an idiot.
Yes, I know everyone has to do what works in your area of the country and also what is considered exceptable. Non singers ARE a big part of your success or lack of it. I had 30 singers and 45-50 non singers tonight. Everyone stayed late and everyone had fun. The bartender sure was happy. The non singers tip, too. I would be the biggest fool in the world, to ignore those 45-50 money spenders. What's your guess $10, $20, $30, $40, a head? Sure spent more money than all of the singers. I'm guessing twice as much. Do you think it hurt my reputation? Think the bar owner hates me? Guess why I've been there 8 years? He found out his big fight night, isn't worth as much as crappy karaoke, done by an idiot, that only cares about himself. My reward for all of my selfishness? Over $72,000 CASH, from him in the last 8 years. LMAO

So let's see now...
$72,000 divided by 8 years is $9000 per year.
$9000 per year divided by 52 weeks is $173 a week.
CASH...
Wow.

bingo. you win.
Now take that by 5 and do it x 14 years and add in 2 more systems x 5 for 10 years. You'll be in the ballpark but no homer.

I'll do some more of the math for you, big guy.
$9,000 x 5 = $45,000/year
$45,000 x 14 years = $630,000 Did I mention CASH? :O
I'm still doing the equations for the other systems. I'm going to guess it could be another $600,000 or so. Don't quote me, it gets people with big mouths in trouble.
One entire year to pay for my music.
One and a half nights, a year to buy my equipment (one system).
I had 3 systems going. I can't remember how long each worked, but I'm still looking.
3 full size vans, plus much more misc. stuff.

Says nothing about times 5 NOR 14 years! Trying to up your figures to make you look better again, stepped in a bigdog pile? You say one thing, get called on it then change your story AGAIN!
