I'm sure that quite a few of you started out as I did, doing Karaoke with disc.
As time went by you were able to upgrade to a computer setup. Do you still use your older disc collections as backup, or are they sitting on a shelf collecting dust.
If that's the case is there anyone that is looking to sell off their older stock?
Just so you know, I'm a total packrat. Once it comes into my possession, it's here for life. So that means that I have tons of stuff that I really don't use anymore, but still hang onto just the same. If that's the case with you I totally understand. If your comp suddenly crashed, you want some backup. So my question is just a general statement.
I'm not sure about the forums policy on such questions or discussions, so if you feel more comfortable with a pm, that's cool.
thanks,
James

I would think that if you have put your disc onto your computer you would need to hang onto them...Just in case...For piracy issues...To prove you bought the original...

I would think also that if you are not using a particular disc and you are digital and have removed it from your computer there would be nothing wrong with selling it...

If you are still using the original cdg's then I would think if it is something you don't use anymore it should be ok to sell.  I personally would buy a used CDG if I new that someone was no longer using it in any capacity.

Isis is correct you do need to keep your originals to prove you own the discs if you have loaded them on your hard drive.

I have seen some really great buys on ebay from KJ's that are quitting the business. Usually they are selling their entire colleciton in sections. So you gotta have the cash on hand or a decent credit limit on your charge cards to be ready for them when they come available.

I have made some great buys there.

Thanks for the response folks, I completely understand where you're coming from. And your comments put it more along the lines of what I was really looking for. Like if you have duplicates, or got a killer deal off of ebay and couldn't resist buying it although you already had it, or traded up to a better version, things along that line.
Thanks again,
James

If you have two systems, technically you will need two of every original disc.
